My best friend, Jackie, had forced me into coming along with her to the party, despite not being a party person, she managed to convince me.
Upon arrival, Jackie, quickly found her way to her boyfriend, Jeff, leaving me alone in the crowd. I couldn't help but feel a tad abandoned, considering she was the one who insisted I join her here.
As I walked up to my friend Nat, she seemed shocked at my appearance, but nonetheless she was glad i showed and offered me a drink.
The atmosphere of the gathering surrounded us with laughter and lively chatter. I looked around, in hope something interesting would happen and something caught my attention in the corner of my eye.
It was Lottie Matthews, another friend of mine, looking a bit lost and out of place amidst the crowd, just like how i felt when i first showed.
I excuse myself from Nat's company and make my way towards Lottie, I offered her a smile which she sends right back.
"Let me take a wild guess," I say, leaning against a tree. "You arrived here with a friend who ended up ditching you for someone else at the last minute."
A mischievous smirk dances across her lips as she replies, "Lucky guess! And by the sounds of it, it seems the same thing might've happened to you."
I take a sip of my drink, and then nod in the direction of Jackie and Jeff, who are now unabashedly caught up in a drunken dance on the makeshift dance floor. "Well, there you have it," I chuckle, amused by the spectacle. "Seems like we're both experiencing the same party plot twist." She lets out a soft laugh.
As I cast a glance at the group of strangers engrossed in their drinking games, a playful idea takes shape in my mind. I turn to Lottie with a mischievous glint in my eyes, and a smirk tugs at the corners of my lips.
"Wanna get shit-faced?" I suggest, the words laced with humor and a hint of excitement.
Lottie meets my proposition with a nonchalant shrug, her eyes sparkling with a mix of curiosity and amusement. "Sure," she replies with a playful grin, fully onboard with the plan.
We navigate our way through the crowd towards the assortment of drinks. We engage in a few of the activities, leaving us drunk.
I found myself seeking an escape from the chaos of the party. Together, we stumbled upon a quaint spare bedroom, the air inside was calm and comforting, and we couldn't help but giggle at our discovery.
As we sat side by side on the edge of the bed, the air between us grew charged with emotions. Time seemed to slow, and I could feel the magnetic pull of the moment. With a hint of courage, I leaned in a little closer, my heart pounding with anticipation. "I can sense it in the air, Lottie. I know you want to kiss me." I whispered, my voice barely above a breath.
Her eyes met mine, flickering with a mixture of surprise and desire. A smile curled on her lips as she bit them gently, contemplating her response. The silence that followed was heavy with anticipation, and it seemed as if the entire universe held its breath.
With our hearts pounding in sync, the charged atmosphere enveloped us, leaving an undeniable tension between our lips. Unable to resist the magnetic pull any longer, Lottie leaned in, her lips meeting mine in a tender and passionate kiss. It felt electric, like a spark igniting a wildfire of emotions. The taste of her on my lips was intoxicating.
As the kiss deepened, our bodies moved closer, intertwining like two souls drawn together by fate. Her hands gently traced the curves of my back, and my fingers entwined in her soft hair, pulling her closer to me.
The touch of her skin against mine sent shivers down my spine, and the intensity of the moment left me breathless. The sounds of the party outside were drowned out by the symphony of our heartbeats, drumming in rhythm.
Lost in the euphoria of the moment, time seemed to both stand still and fly by. Every touch, every caress felt like a revelation, as if we were learning a new language, spoken only between the two of us.
As our lips briefly parted, our eyes locked in a deep, soulful gaze. It was an exciting moment of escape from reality, where nothing else mattered except the dance of our entangled bodies and hearts.
