~The Birthday (Part 1)

Jessica Choi's POV

-fast forward, Jessica's Birthday-

Saturday morning. I woke up with the sound of birds chirping and the rays of the sun lighted that has striked through the window.

I stretched my hands and got out of bed. As I open my door, I instantly walked to the kitchen where I found Anne, mom and dad sitting on the counter.

"Goodmorning." I smiled to everyone with a sleepy sound and rubbing my eyes with the back of my hands.

"Morning sweetie." My mom and dad both said.

"So excited for today!" My sister squeeled as I chuckled. "Lets go out on eleven." I said.

"Mom, dad?" They both looked at me, "Are you sure about it?" I asked thinking about what they said last last night. They said that they'd let me go out on my birthday without them. But yesterday, we already celebrated at Seoul! Yeah, my birthday is supposed to be yesterday.

"Go and enjoy your day!" Dad said and we all laughed.

"Thanks!"

I checked the clock but it's still nine. After that, we ate breakfast.

Im just so excited for this!

"So what are we going to eat?" I asked because my stomach is unexpectedly growling.

"Your favorite," Ah, okay. "Pancake." we all said in unison as we all also laughed.

What a great family I have. I am so grateful to have them.

"Where are they?" Anne asked. We are waiting for the others on the threshold of the mall.

The meeting time is supposed to be 11 but its already 11:30.

"I dont know," I pouted "Wait, I'll just call th-"

"No need!" I looked at my side and it's Kris, followed by Baekhyun, Chanyeol, Kal Min and Rian. Here they are!

"What about those bags?" I curiously asked as I saw each of them are carrying backpack.

"Just relax." Rian said and smiled at me. What about those bags? Are they gonna go on a vacation or what or something like that?

"So let's go?" I asked.

"Leggo!" Anne said.

We agreed and started walking.

As soon as we walked, I felt a hand that is rested on my shoulder. I looked at it and looked up and saw Kris smiling as I smiled bacl and that's the time when I felt shivers went throughout my body.

"Now I'll greet you happy birthday because yesterday, you dont want to." he smiled and I just chuckled

You can call me stiff now.

"Where's my gift?" I asked jokingly then laughed.

He ran his fingers through his hair and smiled.

"Later." he said and we both laughed. "What about me?" He added while pouting.

"Ahh! What a cute ben ben!" I said and pinched his cheeks. Just like what we do to each other.

"I dont want to be called cute, I want to be called handsome." He said in a cool way.

"Okay?" I laughed.

Then we kept on walking but Chanyeol said something.

"We should go eat first." Chanyeol laughed. "Im so hungry?" He added as he rubbed his stomach.

I laughed.

"Then... Where do you want to eat guys?" I asked while we stopped on walking. "Any suggestions?" I said to Kris and looked at him. I have to look UP to see his face because he is SO TALL.

"What?" He leaned closer, maybe two inches away from my face.

My heart beat faster.

"Uhm... An-ny," I moved back without moving my feet. "Any suggestions?" I added and cleared my troath.

"Ehem!" I heard they all said and I looked at them and stood straight. I looked at Rian and Kal Min who are now smiling awkwardly at me.

"Any suggestions?" I asked half-smiling. "I know!" Baekhyun yelled then I see a group of passerby looked at us.

Maybe he said that out loud.

"Baekhyun." Rian said and patted him while laughing. "Ill take you there." He said and we all followed him.

After a minute of walking, we stood up infront of a pasta house. We looked at the menu and it's all pastas, so good! My favorite!

"Yeah! Lasagna!" I said but I heard someone said it with me in unison. And it's Kris.

"Ayiee!" They all squeeled while I look at Kris who is now smiling at me. I just smiled too. I know I am blushing right now.

"Lets go inside now." He said and again placed his hand on my shoulder and I just smiled to it.

As we entered the restaurant, I searched for a place we could sit in and found one in the corner.

"There!" I pointed and we all went and sat there.

"Waiter!" Anne called and a waiter instantly came to our table.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked as they tell me what they wanted to eat.

"Two lasagna and five spaghetti." I said as I half-smiled to the waiter.

"Any drinks madame?"

After he asked that, I gave them a look. "Iced tea." They all said in unison. "So it will be ten minutes madame. Are you okay with it?" The waiter asked and I nodded.

I looked at Rian who is whispering something to Anne and she nodded. What it is?

"Hey! Jessica! We havent greeted you happy birthday yet." Chanyeol said pouting. I just smiled.

"Let's sing guys!" Rian said and led the singing.

"Happy birthday Jessica." They all sang as I just sat there with a wide smile etched on my face.

"Ahhh!" I laughed "You're so sweet guys. It makes me happy." I pouted.

"Well, you deserve to be happy because you are a good person, I have nothing negative to say to you. You're a good friend."

"Thank you! And thank you guys!" then we group hugged. Im so touched.

And after ten minutes, our food came and we ate.

After we were done eating, We headed out of the restaurant and stood there deciding where to go next.
