Selene was sat beside O'Connor who was driving his own car following Dewey's station wagon, they were on their way back to the station after confronting John Milton on Maureen's past. Selene had never been a fan of Maureen but after hearing what she went through maybe Milton was the real villain of the story, not Billy Loomis or Stu Macher, not Maureen but Milton and his asshole buddies. Hear her out, those two idiots were psychotic but they wouldn't have done what they did if it wasn't for Maureen sleeping with Hank Loomis but if you go further back than that what Milton and his disgusting friends did to her scarred her for life and maybe sleeping around was the result of that trauma...obviously she could be wrong but either way she found a new level of sympathy for the women
"Penny for your thoughts?" O'Connor asked glancing away from the road for a second to look over at Selene "oh, I'm just thinking about all of this. Think I have a new found sympathy for Maureen- not that I was a heartless bitch before but..." she sighed noticing Nicks amused smirk "you get what I mean"
He chuckled "I was going to let you keep on about how your not a bitch but whatever, we'll move on. I think I've made progress with your sister, I don't think she hates me anymore" Selene smiled looking out of the window "really? That makes a change, I'm not sure Kincaids scored any points with her, other than her little crush on him" Nick almost gasped excitedly glancing at Selene "she has a crush on him? You know I think he likes her too. And they had a unofficial date dinner the other night..." Selene gasped turning to face him "they did not!" O'Connor nodded holding his signature smirk on his face "yeah, he told me about it when he got back to the station." Selene then scoffed shaking her head "and that little shit never told me"
"I'll help set them up because that man needs a actual love life, he can't keep going home to a empty house and takeaways" O'Connor said in a mocking tone
Selene laughed hearing the inside information on Kincaid, god if she told her sister this the man would never live it down! But also Kincaid and Blair? That's be a cute couple and Kincaid would totally be stepdad material "god, Blair would kill for this information...that was a bad choice of words" Selene looked over at him making sure he wasn't going to put Blair any higher on the suspect list but instead he laughed "I wouldn't worry, she gives me high school evil vibes not truly evil vibes. Kincaid's just dramatic, me on the other hand like to give people a chance instead of going straight to suspect number one"
Selene nodded understandingly "Blair was definitely high school evil, but she wouldn't physically hurt someone without a reason. I think she's changed though, since Jade came into our lives she's just become so affable and bighearted. She's still a bitch at times but that's just Blair, you know?" Nick nodded along listening to what she had to say, he's heard Blair's side but people often forget about Selene "yeah, I've had a front row seat to that side of her. I guess kids make you a better person, because your not thinking about yourself anymore. I'm sure her being a aunt and who she is makes her protective over your daughter, and I can see why, she's adorable"
