Y/N decided she would make the next two weeks of Tom's life the best ever. Before she had to.....you know....leave him with no explanation. She decided she wasn't going to make up a story of where she was leaving to, because he'd try to talk her out of it. Or offer to go with her. And in her situation, neither was possible.
"You've never played in snow?!" Y/N asked Tom, aghast. Tom shook his head. "It doesn't snow much in the south of England." He told her. "Yes, but- what about here?" She asked him. "I don't know. Guess I never really had anyone to play with." Tom said with a shrug. "Ok. I've got an idea then." Y/N said. "You can't make it snow. It's May." Tom pointed out. "Don't doubt me." Y/N said, pretending to be affronted. "Follow me." She added, and started towards the castle. "Where are we going?" Tom asked as he jogged to keep up. "My dorm. It's big enough." Y/N decided. "Big enough for what?" Tom asked, though he had an idea. "You'll see." Y/N smirked. And he did see. She ordered him to change into warm clothes, and when he came back, there was a thick layer of snow on the floor of Y/N's dorm, and more was falling. "Come on!" Y/N said, taking his hand. "My clothes will get all wet." He said. "No they won't. Look." She said and threw a snowball at his middle. It hit him, but his jumper didn't soak through. "You'll pay for that one." Tim said, shutting the door and collecting some snow. After their snowball fight, they lay in the snow and made snow-angels. "This is so nice." Tom said. "I know." Y/N grinned. Then she vanished the snow and they lay on Y/N's bed. Tom traced his fingers up and down Y/N's arm. "Thanks for that." Tom whispered. Y/N just smiled at him.
Y/N wasn't sure why or how she had fallen in love with Tom in the first place, but she was glad. Because even though she would have to leave soon, they would still have these amazing memories in their heads. At least that's what she told herself. As the saying went; it's better to have loved and lost, then never loved at all. But that didn't stop her being sad at the thought of leaving Tom behind. And what made matters worse was the fact she couldn't talk to him about it. He was the best at making her feel better about things. So Sag and Ivy were successful in lifting her mood whenever she sat down and just thought about what leaving behind the love of her life would mean. Leaving him behind, and returning to a time in which he existed, but as a monster, not the beautiful boy she called her love.
"What would you do if was pregnant?" Y/N asked Tom randomly one evening as they studied for their O.W.L.S. "I - uh - what? Are you pregnant?" Tom asked. "No." Y/N told him. "Then let's worry about that when you are. Pang in her heart. They wouldn't be together long enough. But she shoved that thought out of her mind. She had to focus on being happy. Because soon time would run out, and these moments would be a mere memory in the day, and a dream at night. She always felt guilty around Tom, for not telling him. "Love, are you alright?" Tom asked her. "Hmm? Yeah, I'm fine." She lied. "You spaced out." Tom told her. "Just....worried about the O.W.L.S." She said. "I'm sure you'll do great." Tom assured her, placing his hand on hers. "No I won't. You'll do much better." Y/N said. Tom smirked. "I'm serious. I'm really dumb." Y/N said. The smirk turned into a smile. "You're not dumb." Tom said. Y/N sighed happily and smiled. She loved Tom's smile. It made him even more handsome, if that was possible.
"Hey Ivy?" Y/N asked one evening at midnight. "What?" Ivy groaned, obviously wanting to be asleep. "How can I let Tom enjoy my company more than ever? I want this week to be memorable." Y/N asked her. "Maybe....bring back something you guys did before you were together. Or sleep with him." Ivy suggested, and even though it was dark, Y/N was sure there was a smirk on Ivy's face. "I am not going to sleep with him!" Y/N said indignantly. "Why not? He's your boyfriend, is he not?" Ivy asked. "He is, but no." Y/N told her.
The next night at midnight Y/N met Tom in the Entrance Hall. She had left him a note on his bed, like he had done before. "What's this?" Tom asked quietly as he approached her. "We haven't met up at night since we got together." Y/N explained. Tom pushed her gently against the wall and kissed her. She kissed him back.
This was it. The last time she'd be seeing Tom before she left. After they were to say goodnight to each other, Y/N, Sag and Ivy would go to Dumbledore's office and Y/N would go back to her time. What is she couldn't do it? What if she didn't do it? But she knew she couldn't. She loved her parents too much. As she sat on the couch next to Tom, Y/N felt a few tears slide down her face. "What's wrong?" Tom asked, noticing. She couldn't tell him. As much as she wanted to she just couldn't. "I miss my parents." Not a lie. Not really. She did miss them. But that wasn't why she was crying. She was crying because she'd miss the beautiful boy next to her. Tom pulled her into a tight hug, and she cried into his shoulder, breathing in his cologne.
"Ready to go?" Ivy asked Y/N as they sat in the Slytherin Common Room. Y/N nodded. She was wearing her own sneakers, Ivy's black shorts and deep green tank top and a Slytherin hoodie that belonged to Tom. It smelled strongly of his cologne. "Let's go." Y/N said in a choked voice. Sag and Ivy grabbed her hands, comforting her as they walked to Dumbledore's office. Sag knocked. "Come in!" Dumbledore called. The three walked in. "Ready to go?" Dumbledore asked Y/N and handed her the Time-Turner. Y/N nodded miserably. Ivy hugged her first. "I'll miss you so much." She whispered. "Me too. Look after Tom. But don't tell him." Y/N said. Ivy nodded and they pulled away. Then she hugged Sag. "I love you. You're like my sister." Sag said. "You're the brother I never had." Y/N told him and they pulled away. After saying her last goodbyes, Y/N turned the Time-Turner, and the scene before her eyes blurred.
