Oliver's POV

I look around the room and notice I'm not the only one bored out of my mind, trying to keep my eyes open. This meeting is so pointless, it's not as if we've never been on tour before...

I felt bad about making Lily go to school today, especially with the swimming carnival on and all. She really doesn't need anymore drama in her life right now and- my thoughts were cut off by my phone ringing loudly on the table next to me. I glance at the caller ID which was flashing unknown.

Strange.

"Mate, are you gonna get that?" Nichols asked, looking bored out of his mind.

"Um, yeah, I'll be right back. Excuse me." I stammered getting up from the large conference table we're seated at and walked out of the room, quickly answering my phone before whoever it was could hang up.

"Hello?" I said through the end of the phone, although it came out more as a question.

"Hi, my name is Linda and I'm calling from Sheffield Children's Hospital (A/N I'm Australian so I have no idea of that's anywhere near where this story takes place, I just googled hospitals in Sheffield. I apologise) is this Mr. Oliver Sykes, father of Lily-Rose Sykes?" The lady on he end of the phone asked.
Oh shit.

"Yes, is everything alright?" Of course it's not, that's why she's calling dumb ass.

"What's wrong with Lily?" I asked panicking.

"Mr.Sykes, would it be possible if you could come here as soon as you can?"

"What's happened to Lily?" I asked again, wanting more information out of this woman.

"There seems to have been an accident at her school swimming carnival. She fell into the pool and inhaled too much water into her lungs and we had to pump it out of her as soon as she was rushed here. Sir, were you aware she could not swim?" Linda informed me.

Everything became a blur once Linda told me what had happened. I could hear her on the end of the phone saying my name and asking me questions but I couldn't think, I couldn't speak. I had to get to the hospital right now. I run back into the conference room and swiftly grabbed my car keys off of the table without a word, quickly heading towards the door before I was stopped by the concerned sound of Jordan's voice.

"Mate what's going on?" He asked confused.

I didn't speak.
I have to get to the hospital.

"Oliver! What's going on?" Vegan shouted after I didn't answer the first time.

I finally spoke up.

"Something happened at the swimming carnival, Lily's in hospital, I have to go now." I told them, tears forming in my eyes.

Running quickly out of the building and to my car, I ignored everyone's pleads to get me to stop. By the time I got to my car, Nichols had beat me to it.

"Oli, you can't drive like this, give me the keys"

I reluctantly gave him my keys as I got into the passenger seat and buckled myself in, while Nichols started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot and drove fast into the direction of Sheffield Children's Hospital.

Please be okay baby girl. Please be okay.

Okay so this was obviously Oliver's point of view of when he found out about the pool incident. This chapter is kinda boring but it lets you know what Oliver was thinking and such.
Thank you for reading and I hope you're enjoying it so far. It will get better but we just have to get through the boring chapters first.
