Chapter 13: Make It Perfect (2)

Author's POV

Tzuyu and Dahyun both ran as fast as they can until they reached a small corner. Dahyun panted like crazy as tears started to form.

"You're fucking insa–" Tzuyu looked at Dahyun and couldn't finish his sentence. He furrowed his eyebrows and lifted her hair to see better. For a moment, their eyes locked and Tzuyu would be lying if he said his heart didn't skip a beat.

He snapped out of it, blinking rapidly. "Dahyun, are you good?"

Dahyun couldn't help but shake in panic. "D-Do you think they saw me?"

Tzuyu's rubbed Dahyun's hair and hugged her. He felt her shake in his arms.

"J-Jackson texted me. He said that he was the only one that got caught," Tzuyu lied.

"I-I should have helped him," Dahyun cried as her grip tightened.

Tzuyu rubbed her hand and pulled away from her. He cupped her cheeks to wipe her tears away and smiled.

"Jackson has gotten himself in enough trouble, they're used to his face now. Besides, this is the only time he's helped us out!" Dahyun couldn't help but giggle at that.

Their sweet giggles were interrupted by a phone ring. Dahyun took out her phone from her pocket. Tzuyu saw Eunwoo's name.

Dahyun cleared her throat and pulled away from Tzuyu completely before answering the phone call.

"Uh, Eunwoo!"

Tzuyu frowned. He mouthed the word 'speaker' to Dahyun but he was shrugged off.

"I'm okay-!"

"I'm here too, you idiot!" Tzuyu called out for Eunwoo. Dahyun hit him and signaled him to shush.

"Oh, you don't have to come with us!"

Tzuyu frowned. "Yeah, we would appreciate it if you could just shut up and go to class!" He got hit again, even harder.

Eunwoo seemed to have said something funny because Dahyun giggled.

'That moron must have insulted me.' Tzuyu thought to himself.

"Well, we'll meet you there. I guess. Bye!" Dahyun smiled as she hung up.

"Seriously?! You're dragging that moron along?!"

"Calm down, you big baby. Eunwoo's one of the school's cartoonists — he's good with art. He could help with deciding." Tzuyu could only roll his eyes at that.

The three of them went to a big wedding dress shop. It was full of luxury dresses that were glowing with elegance. Tzuyu was amazed, while the other two focused on finding Jihyo.

"Dahyun!" Jihyo exclaimed, causing Tzuyu to snap out of it.

"Unnie, hello!" Dahyun greeted as Jihyo ran towards her and gave a tight hug.

"Thank you for making time for me!" Jihyo smiled widely. Her eyes shifted to two boys standing beside Dahyun.

"Oh– are you with them?" She asked and Dahyun nodded with a smile.

"This is Tzuyu and Eunwoo. They're here to help," Dahyun explained.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Jihyo! I hope I'm not wasting your precious time." The two shook their heads no and smiled.

"Actually, my fiance was supposed to help." She sighed. "But he said he didn't have time. Though– I'll try to persuade him some more."

Dahyun nodded. "All right, we understand. Let's start!"
