Chapter 50.

The Man I Love.

Rays of the sun from the window hit my face as I get up from the bed. Nilingon ko si Praise na... teka, nasaan na siya?

We're still in Gabriel's condo so I'm worried Praise would ask why we slept here.

I sighed and immediately went to the bathroom to wash up. Naalala ko ang naging usapan namin kagabi. It went well... and I am so happy about it. Dumating din ang isa sa tauhan ni Dad kagabi para ihatid ang iilan sa gamit namin ni Praise.

Paglabas ko ng kwarto ay hinanap ko kaagad ang anak ko.

I heard some noises coming from the kitchen and I was surprised to see Praise sitting patiently while watching her father cooking.

Umawang din ang bibig ko dahil ang aga nagising ni Gabriel. We talked alot of things last night at sa pagkakaalala ko, hatinggabi na kami nagpasyang matulog. He slept in the guest room while I slept beside our daughter.

"Good morning," I greeted.

Sabay na napalingon ang dalawa sa akin.

"Good morning, Mommy!" si Praise.

Lumapit ako sa kaniya at hinalikan sa ulo. "Good morning, honey. How was your sleep? Did you sleep well?"

Tunog siyang tumango kaya napangiti ako. "I will wash my hands first!" she said and stood up.

Tiningnan ko si Gabriel na nilapag ang niluto niyang pagkain. He cooked a usual breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hotdog. He already prepared the hot drinks. Two coffees and a choco drink.

After putting all the foods in the table, he walked towards me and planted a soft kiss in my lips. Nagulat ako at nanigas. Nakatalikod pa sa amin si Praise dahil naghuhugas ito ng kamay.

"Good morning..." with his husky voice, he said.

"G-good morning..." I stuttered and got conscious.

Marahan siyang natawa at muli akong hinalikan sa labi. "Wash your hands now. We're going to eat," pang-aasar niya.

Ilang beses akong napakurap at napailing. "I'm done, Mommy!" Praise informed and Gabriel assisted her.

Sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko habang hinuhugasan ang aking kamay. Napaigtad na lamang ako nang maramdaman ang presensiya ni Gabriel sa gilid ko.

"You done?" he whispered.

Nanindig ang balahibo ko at tiningnan siya. He's smirking at me and I just shook my head.

Pinunasan ko ang kamay bago umupo sa tabi ni Praise. "Mommy, I took a bath alone." saad ni Praise at humagikhik pa na parang proud na proud siya.

My jaw dropped. "What?"

Tumikhim si Gabriel. "I assisted her. You don't have to worry," aniya at umupo na sa kabilang upoan kaharap ko.
