The next day was much different than any other. Of course the group still laughed and joked, but a piece of us was missing. Okay I take it back, we didn't really laugh or joke. We TRIED to laugh and joke.

Greg, Alex, and Andrea had gone out on a run. While everyone else kind of prepared for Jacob's return.

Of course Lottie and I were not going to give in, no one would let us even if we wanted to. He'd be here to take us anyway, everyone knew it.

Niall and I had been getting more intimate. Not only the small touches and smiles when we see each other every day, the run-ins of the hallway and when he gets me alone. I told myself I wasn't going to get like this, but I can't control that.

I think everyone was seeing it too. Jackson would smirk at us, Steven would often glance and smile, Louis joking around at us, Greg obviously knew about it. It obviously hadn't seemed to be a problem.

I helped Zayn and Perrie hand out guns and weapons for the day while some people stay on look-out for Jacob. Just another job to keep the group safe. We know he's coming, we just have to be ready for it.

"Greg or the others back yet?" Niall's voice echoes throughout the living room from behind Zayn, Perrie, and I. Harry stands next to him, his eyes wondering the same question.

"Haven't seen them since they left, I don't think so." I reply, gaining a nod from Zayn and Perrie as if they agree with my answer.

Harry nods a 'thank you' and Niall walks off towards the kitchen to probably ask Gemma. Gemma had still been terrified of the walker that nearly got her the other day in the kitchen. She often looked out the window at our magic box of heavy ammo that was keeping them out.

I just wanted Jacob gone already. Before this all I had to fear was the dead; we are supposed to get through this as humane as one. Not pushing each other around until people die anyway.

Sundown had come faster than we thought; Greg, Andrea, and Alex had still not come back from their raid. Niall insisted that we go look for them but with Jacob around, Joshua thought it best for us to stay here and protect the group.

My position in the upstairs gameroom stood next to Steven's position. We both had the windows half open, snipers in our hands, and the lights off for camouflage. The night had come upon us and we suspected that Jacob would come for us in the dark instead.

"You think he's coming?" I ask Steven in the darkness of the room. I can't see anything of his face but just a bit of the brightness in his golden eyes and the outline of his jaw.

"Even if he does, he's not getting you." He replies, his head doesn't turn to look at me, he just looks out still watching the gate.

"I'm not gonna fall into oblivion, Steven." I tell him, knowing that's what he was thinking.

I hear his breath hitch and he sighs, knowing I caught him red handed. "I know. I wouldn't let you." He replies, his voice stern but still sincere. All I do is nod, even though I know he can't see me do it.

In the next few seconds he whistles at Jackson, who is keeping watch from the bathroom window next to the game room.

He returns the whistle as they both see what Steven had. Headlights from a car become visible and are heading straight for the house, already missing the turns to go anywhere else.

I set my sniper down and leave my position to go half-way down the stairs and make sure everyone sees what Steven spotted, then run back up to my position and cock my gun as I watch the car from the scope on my sniper.

Getting a closer look, I realize that it's not just a car, it's a semi-truck, and it's not slowing down as it gets to the gates.

It's going to plow right through.

A/N

okay hey guys I'm really sorry this chapter sucked, but the next two are going to be the most action-filled I've ever written and we're gonna say bye to a lot of characters.

I needed to narrow down the cast because it was hard to keep up with and decide who does what, so can you guess who's next?!?!

There's will be at least 3 we say bye to, so get ready ladies and gentleman.
