We left the farm at about ten o'clock, packing up most of the tents and all weapons before starting off on our journey to London. We unleashed the two motorcycle idiots as the cold snowflakes drifted as they please down to Earth.
We're only somewhere in Winchester to be exact, meaning we only have about an hour and a half until we reach London.
As crazy as it sounds, Niall has everyone hoping there's a refugee camp or something where we could ride this out for a while.
Making our way to Basingstoke, the road trip isn't very interesting; passing walkers every once in a while, or even suspicious people asking for help, our group having no intention to help anyone out at the moment, we're not doing too well ourselves.
Trees, trees, and more trees are all that came to mind as we passed the forests of plenty. The snow that fell, gently covering the world as Winter was upon us again.
I sit in my place, the back of Perrie's jeep alongside Niall, with Perrie and Zayn up in the passenger seats.
We would have been able to squeeze another body towards the back next to Niall and I, if only all of the camping gear had actually been able to fit in the back.
Niall's eyes watch the road as Perrie carefully tries to avoid the spots that are becoming slick due to the cold air and snow layering the ground.
Niall's hand resting on my thigh, for the first time I'd think I'd say it, I'm bored.
"Road signs say we're getting closer." Zayn announces, creating a sense of both excitement and fear to erupt in my stomach.
"Do you guys think we'll be able to find our safe haven? The refugee camp?" Niall asks, obviously having more excitement than fear in his gut.
Perrie and Zayn stay quiet for a second before I answer his question.
"In all honesty, I'd like to believe it, but I wouldn't get my hopes too far up Ni." I tell him, giving him the same nickname Louis had called him just a few days ago.
His face cracks a smile and his presence lights up at my answer, "I just wanna be able to settle down somewhere personally." Zayn answers Niall's question also, his voice foreign to me for some time.
"We all do." Niall remarks before sitting back in his seat and looking out the window once again.
Only killing off about fifteen minutes of our time to arrive, my eyes catch a sign, telling us we've arrived in Hook, and Winchfield Station is just a few miles ahead.
"We should stop there." Zayn points to the same sign I was looking at from where he sits, pointing his finger over Perrie and in her direction.
"I'll bypass the others, roll down your window and speak to Steven as we pass, I'll lead everyone there." Perrie proudly provokes, speeding up just a bit before passing a truck that Liam has found himself driving, and up towards the ammunition truck where Steven leads the way.
Zayn rolls the window down and shouts over in the other large vehicles direction, the loud noise of cars on gravel an uneasy sound to scream over.
Steven's attention is caught, and he rolls down his window also, leaning his head out the window just a bit. His thick eyebrows furrow in a confused manner, as if to ask what the hell is going on, and his eyes revert from the road and Zayn frantically.
"We're going to stop a few miles ahead, Winchester Station. Perrie knows the way, she can lead from now on." Zayn shouts a little louder than he needed to, making sure Steven heard him and he wouldn't have to repeat himself.
"Hi." I shout as I roll down my window, a goofy smile playing on my face. Niall begins giggling behind me and I could see in Steven's face I look pretty dang stupid.
"Here." Steven shouts back at us, Emily's dainty hand, giving him a black object; looking like a cellphone from 20 years ago.
Steven throws the object through my window, it landing nearly on Niall's lap, making him shape his mouth in an 'O' and giggle at the pain he was just about to be given.
I pick up the object and examine it carefully, knowing right away what it had been; a walkie-talkie.
"There's one in every car, plus one on the motorcycle geeks there in the back, we'll be able to reach each other now." Steven shouts again, this time not taking his eyes off the road.
Perrie drives ahead and we wave at Steven before rolling up our windows again.
"Cool." Niall remarks, examining the walkie-talkie just as I had before.
"Half a mile." Perrie says, loud enough for everyone in the jeep to hear.
Niall and I look at every little part of the walkie-talkie like children, and my hazel eyes revert to his blue, both glowing in the light that reflects off of the snow that falls down slowly.
When I look at Niall the world stops, the car being the only thing carrying us along, the snowflakes frozen in air and no Zayn or Perrie to ruin the moment, just us.
He feels the presence of my gaze on him before he doesn't hesitate to slowly bring his lips up to mine, and I'm back.
I'm back to the place I'd first felt his lips lingering on mine, I'm back to the house where I'd lost some of the most important people in the world to me, I'm back to the first place where I found out who really makes me happy in this world.
Perrie pulls over, indicating we've made it, and Niall's lips almost leap off of mine, the same old smile returning to his face, and the same old goofy one I'd had just before probably on mine also.
"Snap out of it love birds it's time to go!" Perrie orders us sarcastically, removing her keys from the ignition. The blonde girl smiles and reverts her eyes up to me before winking,
Winchester Station, we have arrived.
