I just want to clear something real quick!
In starting there's one scene where we'll think jungkook cheated on y/n, but that's NOT the case. Jungkook explained that to y/n in the recent chapters but I still see comments that how he 'cheated' on her. I think I'm going to give y'll a flashback of that moment to clear everything.

In the next two days, your fever was mostly gone.

In those two days, Mrs jeon gave strict instructions to jungkook how to take care of his sick wife.

Which didn't help but grew the awkwardness between them to another level.

Jungkook had to came home early from his usual time, but that wasn't the fun part. They slept in the same bed.

Although There was no cuddling, no forehead kisses and no hugs.

Oftentimes jungkook arms stretched out as if to pull her in a hug but stops in mid when reality sinks in. Y/n encountered it few times but pretend to not notice it, as well the slight ach in her
Chest.

They'd to act the clingy, happy couple who can't stay a second away from ripping eachother clothes off.

Well, that was a disaster.

And all this began when: "you doing okay?" Mrs jeon asked as she cutted perfect slices of apples. Y/n nodded and opened the fridge to grab a bottle of water. "No more skipping meals" she said strictly.

Y/n gulped mouthful of water, closing the lid she hugged it to her chest and stood beside her mother in law.

"No more skipping meals" she promised, smiling.

"Do you mind me asking you something?"

Y/n shook her head. "Not at all. What is it?" How she wished the ground could swallow her.. "is...my son treating you well...?"

Y/n wetted her bottom lip, contemplating her answer. "yes. He's good with me"

Mrs jeon placed the knife on the cutting board before turning her body to her. "And how do you find him?"

Y/n Blinked at her in confusion. "uh, nice?" If that was even a right term to use on how she finds him. But let's not think about that. "Nice.." his mother repeated thoughtfully. "do you, do you like him?"

"Yes," as a housemate "is something wrong?" She asked cloaking her panick under her worry.

Mrs jeon nibbled on her bottom lip, staring at space before letting out a sigh. "I... I'm just worried that you'll leave him considering how you were forced to..." She trailed off with another shake of head. "He might be insensitive sometimes, but believe me cares for you. He loves you, just give him time" her mother begged clasping both of y/n hands in hers.

Y/n eyes widened. "please don't do this. I'll never leave him, mom." Mrs jeon smiled weakly. "I know he's not Idol husband but he loves you, I can see it in his eyes"

Y/n shook her head. Internally she was laughing in pity at herself for even considering this.

She slided her hand out and rested atop of Mrs jeon giving it a little squeeze. "He doesn't"

"He was beating himself because he didn't notice how bad your health was. His eyes says it all. In the room full of us, he always searchs for you. Believe this old woman, she's not lying"

Y/n opened her mouth but then closed it. It didn't matter, y/n knew he didn't like her. She doubted if he was even capable of loving. But if that's what it takes to relief Mrs jeon from her worries so be it.
