"Myungshi-"
Yoongi stopped himself and let out a small sigh as he sat across the young man.
That day, Kim Myungshi killed someone for the first time.
It wasn't supposed to happen, he never thought he would, but there he was, panicking as he sat on the floor, tugging on his own hair at the roots.
Taehyung and Arabella didn't flinch the first time they did it, because they were raised in that environment.
Myungshi wasn't.
He would get into fights, but the second he saw blood, he stopped.
But this time it was different.
Unlike Taehyung and Arabella, he didn't just pull a trigger.
He beat them to death.
And his first reflex when he realized was to call Yoongi at three in the morning, who came to one of the Kim owned warehouses as fast as he could after hearing the fear laced in Myungshi's usual arrogant tone.
"Walk me through it, what happened ?" He asked, analyzing his nephew.
He wasn't panting, rocking back and forth, didn't look nauseous nor did he look like he had thrown up, his clothes squeaky clean.
But he didn't move an inch.
He didn't even flinch when Yoongi arrived.
"I killed a man."
Yoongi's eyebrows raised, his eyes widening.
That was the last thing he expected to hear, especially not when he still had crust in his eyes from how blissfully he was sleeping.
But he quickly grasped the situation, taking a deep breath.
Myungshi might be an adult now, but to Yoongi, he remained the kid who followed him like his shadow.
The one he took a fatherly role for when Taehyung couldn't be there.
"Where is the body ?" He asked calmly.
"In the room."
"How long has it been ?"
"Two hours."
"What happened ?"
"I beat him until he couldn't breathe."
Yoongi stayed silent for a few seconds.
Myungshi's voice was monotone, almost robotic as he answered the questions.
Yoongi didn't know what to do.
He was lost between being a mentor or emotional support, problem is, he never had to be the latter for Myungshi, so he felt confused.
"Myunghee's already stressed out.. I can't stay out late like this." He said, eyes still on the ground.
Yoongi stayed silent still, analyzing the few things Myungshi has said and comparing them to what he knew from the boy.
"She'll under-"
"I can't go home and look at her in the eye." Myungshi cut him off.
Yoongi sighed quietly before getting up, deciding to give his nephew some more -very much needed- space.
He walked past him towards the crime scene, taking a deep breath before opening the door.
Myungshi still didn't move, which made Yoongi worry quite a bit.
