"Kim Kwangsun bring yourself over here !"
Kwangsun's eyebrows furrowed as he got up from his stool, going towards the small sink to wash his hands.
Out of the seven children, he was the only one who never caused problems and therefore, never had been called by his full name.
Usually when he locked himself in his art studio, no one called him, just letting him be.
But Arabella just called him, by his full name at that.
She was probably in her office since she called his phone, so he took off his apron and got over there, memories flowing through his mind.
When he first moved into this house, he was a traumatized kid with no emotional attachment to this family, he hated how big the property was, he got lost more than once and was too shy to ask for help.
Now, he could call it a home, the people living there being his family.
He grew up in poverty and abuse, wearing dirty clothes and eating once every other week, now he looked like the kids he envied before, even better than them.
He was loved, cared for.
The second Taehyung recognized him as his son, Kwangsun had a trust fund with enough money to feed five generations of a family as big as theirs.
Despite their differences, he had six siblings that relied on him and who he knew he could rely on as well — at least the older ones.
He didn't cry when his mother die.
He stopped crying after he understood just how little care she had for him.
He didn't panic, because he was left on his own long before she passed.
He didn't feel anything, he didn't even show up to the funeral.
If it was up to him, he wouldn't have went to find Taehyung either, but after living with his mother, he told himself his father couldn't be much worse.
The original plan was to stay here and move out as soon as he became a legal adult, but there he was in his mid-twenties, still living at home.
Arabella scared him too at first, he had a hard time with mother figures, always thinking they would end up hating and hurting him.
But not Arabella.
Not the woman he considered his mother.
If blood mattered, he would get a transfusion just so he could say they share it.
Yes, Taehyung mattered to him a lot, but Arabella's care healed his inner child in ways he didn't expect.
She gave him a second life, she was his mother.
"Yes Mama ?"
Kwangsun pushed opened the door to find her sitting at her office, arms crossed against her chest and a pile of letters on the desk.
He closed the door and furrowed his brows, plopping himself on the couch with a sigh.
He didn't get nervous, because he knew she would never, ever hurt him.
"Kim Kwangsun, sort your business out." She spoke, sitting upright.
"What-"
"Fifteen letters." She cut him off. "In the span of two days, some chick sent you fifteen letters, I didn't open it, but the corny perfume she put on them is enough for me to know."
