I opened my email and saw a tonne of e-mails asking for advice. Since there were so many people, I couldn't just choose three anymore. Now I had a whole page devoted to advice.

I picked quite a few short ones then three long ones. I deleted all the crude ones...

Then I saw one that caught my eye. It was signed DraculaSucks. I hoped it was a pun and not an opinion.

It stated: Dear Frankie,

I totally screwed up with the love of my life. I don't deserve it but I want her back. How do I go about regaining my heart?

Signed,

DraculaSucks

My heart melted. This person was so sweet. Although I didn't know what they did to drive their girl away.

I thought long and hard on what to respond before I thought of what would work on me.

"Dear DraculaSucks,

Time dulls all wounds. Give your lady space to get over her hurt then go to her and tell her the truth. The good, the bad and the ugly. Put all your cards on the table and yourself out there. Then you'd have done all you could. If she still doesn't take you back, maybe she's not really the one?

Hope this helps,

Frankie"

I sent in the emails and put away my phone so I could get ready for Hunter. Bradley came in. Since I'd forgiven him and taken him back, he'd been a lot more chill.

He brought me a red rose every day because they meant true love, regardless of how ugly they were.

He was trying.

But inside, my heart hurt. Another fifty pins had been inserted and my heart felt like a pincushion now.

Another five months until graduation and I never came back to this dump. Bradley was right. High school was the worst.

I helped the kids with their homework two days later. Nae was struggling with reading, reminding me of Hunter. I shook myself. "Sound it out."

Nae tried but grew frustrated. "I hate this! Why can't we see Hunter?!"

"Honey, Hunter has other stuff to do."

"He's too busy for us?" She looked up at me, sad.

"I can't say for sure but you have to let Hunter go. He's not going to be in our lives anymore."

"But aren't you still tutoring him?" Livie played with her pencil.

"That's an hour a day and we have to concentrate on his schoolwork."

"That's not fair." Johnny mumbled.

"I'm sorry I brought him into our lives when he couldn't stay."

"You're supposed to get married and be king and queen!" Nae began crying.

"What?" I could not understand that at all.

"She's a little mixed up but you guys were great together." Livie argued.

"We weren't together."

"Coulda fooled us." Johnny sulked.

"Look. Hunter and I aren't together. I'm with Bradley. Don't you like Bradley?"

"No." All three scowled.

That was news to me!

Nae burst into loud tears. "I want Hunter!" She ran up to her room.
