Hidden Mistake

CHAPTER 10

"I'm not asking you to like me back or reciprocate my feelings. I just want to say it to you so I can finally let my feelings out... Don't worry. I'm not expecting any return from my confession. I just want you to know about it. No need to overthink." he smiled at me, assuringly.

I sighed, finally a breath of relief. I didn't know what to say so I just pointed at the bedroom's door. 

Should I say t-thank you? Thank you? Really Zyl? For what? Bahala na. That's the least I could say to not make him feel bad. 

"Uh.. Uhm thank you" saad ko. 

He chuckled. 

Namula ako sa pagtawa niya. Damn. I don't like to prolong this any longer. It's getting awkward as the minute passes. 

"Thank you for liking me" I said clearly, trying to avoid his gaze. 

"Hmm. How should I reply to that" 

Shit! Wrong move ata na nag thank you ako. Paano na to? Di ko rin alam paano niya yun sasagutin. 

"It's late. I'm already sleepy. Goodnight." 

I immediately left him there standing. I couldn't take the awkwardness anymore. 

Kaya ngayon, here I am watching the sunrise early in the morning. I don't know how to talk to him after our conversation last night. Nawala angas ko dun ah. 

Hindi pa nakakarating ang hinihintay namin so I have a little time to walk by the shore. 

"Don't forget our date today" 

Napaigtad ako dahil sa gulat. I turned to face Hunt. Ba't ba bigla-biglang sumusulpot ang isang to? 

"Date?" 

"Yes. Date. We're pretending to be couples right? Today is Yichen's arrival so we need to pretend in front of him" Hunt said, looking straight into my eyes. 

I sighed and nodded. Buti naman. Kung ano-ano kasi pumapasok sa utak ko. Well, we're here for our mission. I need to be professional and not think about our personal issues for now. 

"The two of us will negotiate with Yichen. We need to act that we're interested in his business. We'll introduce ourselves as Mr. and Mrs. Bernardi. The Italian couple who is also their investor. No worries about the couple, Team B already secured that the couple is already on their hands by now. Yichen hasn't met with these two yet. Supposedly, ngayon dapat, but here we are taking their place." seryosong saad ni Hunt habang nandito kami sa suite ni Yudis.

Nandito rin sina Ace, Red, at Rex. We're having a meeting kung paano namin i-execute ang plano. 

Ace will be our personal assistant. A sexy one. Well that's her strength. Seductress. From her looks and body, who would skip an eye for her? 

Nakuha na namin ang impormasyon tungkol sa mag-asawang Bernardi and their intentions dealing with Yichen. So what we have to do right now is deal with Yichen and who might be his other clients that we need to keep an eye on. 

Nasa kanya ang alas para malaman namin kung saan nagtatago ang iba pang sindikato na hindi namin mahanap hanap. That's why this mission is a heavy one. Isang mali lang, mawawala na parang bula ang plano namin. 

Yudis tried to hack on the hotel's CCTV so we could monitor everything. 

Nakapuslit ng damit pang waiter si Red at Rex. Mahihirapan ang dalawa kung ipipilit nila ang nasa unang plano na maging bartender at tour guide.

Hindi gaanong mahirap magpanggap na waiter lalo na at medyo busy sa pag-serve at maraming guest ang hotel. 

Hapon na nang natunugan namin ang pagdating ni Yichen. Makikita sa monitor na paakyat siya sa kanyang suite kasama ang higit anim na bodyguards at isang lalaki na mukhang assistant niya.
