I just shook my head, still closing my eyes.
"Hmm. Ok." he kissed my temples and made my head lean on his shoulders.
The ride home was peaceful. Walang aberya kaya pinagpasalamat ko iyon. Hunt offered to take me home, but I refused. Mukhang nagtatampo pa kaya medyo natagalan ako sa pag-uwi just to convince him that I can take care of myself. He agreed later on and just tailed me home, like the usual.
The next morning, I went to work early to investigate some papers. Sa lobby pa lang, nakita ko na si Hunt na mukhang may hihintay.
When his eyes caught me, he immediately stood.
I sighed. "Kanina ka pa?"
He just looked at me with his usual cold stare before he nodded.
"Good morning. Have you had your breakfast?"
"Not yet." sabi ko sabay iling.
He pursed his lips and looked more serious. "Sabay na tayo. Where do you want to eat?"
"Sa cafeteria na lang. So we can proceed to work after."
He nodded and walked with me. I can sense the curious and malicious stares at us. By now, I know that the news will eventually spread that Hunt and I are in a relationship.
When we're on the cafeteria, we sat on a four table seater and ordered food.
"About yesterday..." I sighed and continued. "I'm sorry. I was just really got used to doing those things alone."
Napatigil siya sa pagkain at uminom ng tubig. He looked at me, stunned by my sudden explanation.
"I understand. I know that before I courted you so I respect it. Stop overthinking, okay? " he smiled a little to assure me, kaya gumaan ang loob ko.
I nodded and we continued eating. Maybe I should consider him from this day on. We're together now. I should include him in everything I do.
When we were done eating, hinatid niya ako hanggang table ko.
"Call me when you need anything." he said.
"Okay. Go to work now."
Pinasadahan niya pa ng tingin ang lamesa ko bago ako hinalikan sa noo at umalis na papuntang opisina niya.
Hunt was really consistent when he said he'd court me every day even if we're together. Hinahatid niya ako pauwi and sometimes he would send me snacks sa table ko. Sabay rin kami kung kumain.
My days are always complete because of his presence. Somehow I felt so happy. I also became more cautious kina Rainela and for their possible actions within the news that Hunt and I are together.
"Hi Nyx! Good morning." bati ni Keihan.

I nodded and smiled a bit. "Morning."
"Gusto mo ng merienda? Hindi ko kasi mauubos to. Baka gusto mo?" he offered a plastic.
Wala namang kakaiba sa mga galaw niya and he's been good to me. Accepting a snack from him won't hurt.
Matagal bago ako nakasagot kaya napakamot siya sa ulo niya. Bago pa siya tuluyang mailang ay nilahad ko na ang kamay ko.
