(Time Jump: 2 years later)

Ryujin Pov

*Phone rings*

I roll over to check the time. It's fucking 3am who the hell is calling me? I check the caller ID.

Jeongyeon Unnie

Unnie why are you calling me so late. I get up, and answer the phone.

"Yeoboseyo" Ryujin answers in a groggy voice.

"RYUJIN IT'S HAPPENING TO GO TO SEOUL HOSPITAL!" Jeongyeon unnie shouts.

"What's happening? What's going on?!" I rub my eyes trying to fully grasp what my cousin is trying to tell me.

"Ryujin! Nayeon is giving birth" I can hear Jeongyeon Unnie try to slowly explain to me what is happening.

I jumped out of bed. Grab a pair of pants and a hoodie. "I am on my way".

*phone call ends*

I can't believe she's finally here. I unlock my car and head straight for the hospital. Thank god this hospital is only 10 minutes away.

"I can't wait to meet you"

Arrive and run to the labor and delivery unit. I run towards the front desk where I see a nurse sitting at the computer.

"Hi, my cousin's wife is giving birth right now. I just would like to know what room I can go to. The name is Im-Yoo Nayeon."

'Oh yes. She's currently in the delivery room right now. I can let you know when they come back to their room. It'll be room 2 when they do"

"Thank you so much." I say as I slowly walk towards the waiting room. As I was about to sit. I saw a familiar cat eyed girl run passed me towards the nurse. Yeji

Yeji POV

*Phone Rings*

I just got into bed. Why is the hospital calling me again? I don't work for another two days.

I answered the phone.

"Yeoboseyo?"

"Dr. Hwang. Mrs. Im-Yoo. You asked us to call you when she is giving birth."

Oh my god it's happening.

"Tell her I'll be there shortly" I say as I put my clothes back on.

*phone call ends*

I drove to the hospital in no time. I walk through the doors of the hospital. God I was just here 2 hours ago. I walked up to the front desk of the labor and delivery unit.

"Dr. Hwang I thought you went home" the nurse at the desk comments.

"I'm here for my best friend. She's giving birth or already gave birth. Um her name is Im-Yoo Nayeon. What room.." I get cut off by a familiar voice.

"Hwang Yeji. Long time no see"

Ryujin... She looked like she just woke up, but I can't help but notice how cute she looked with her ears poking out of her hoodie.

"Ryujin I saw you at Nayeon Unnie's birthday last month. Anyways I'm assuming you're looking for Nayeon Unnie's room too." I said looking back at her.

"Actually I've been here for like 30 minutes. I think she's still in labor, but they said they're in room 2" She smiles as she looks for a seat in the waiting room.

I look back at the nurse. "Please let us know once they're ready for visitors"

"Of course Dr. Hwang."

I take my seat next to Ryujin, who looks like she's falling asleep.

"Dr. Hwang huh. I didn't know you were a doctor." Ryujin says with her eyes barely open.

"Yeah, I mean we don't really talk Ryujin, so I understand why you didn't know that about me. I work here in the recovery unit" I say fiddling with my thumbs. I'm a little nervous. I know Nayeon will be fine. I've been there for almost all her appointments just to make sure her and the baby were okay. There shouldn't be a problem, but there's always a small chance.

"You okay Doc?" Ryujin touches my shoulder. I perked up from the sudden touch. That was a weird feeling.

"Yeah, just a little nervous." I try to smile.

"For a doctor, I didn't think you'd be this nervous." She jokes.

"It's different. My best friend is in there and so is my future god daughter" I say looking down moving leg up and down anxiously. Ryujin notices and places her hand on my leg.

"Don't worry so much Yej. She's one strong momma. They'll both make it through." She comforted me.

An hour later we hear a door open.

"RYUJIN! YEJI!" I hear Jeongyeon scream at us. She had the biggest smile and tears streaming down her face.

Both Ryujin and I ran to her. "I didn't know I could be in love with two girls at the same time" Jeongyeon Unnie hugs us both.

"Yah I'm telling Nayeon unnie" Ryujin jokes.

"Don't worry she knows. Now you two ready to meet our little princess?" she asks, guiding us to the room.

We get to the room, and we see Nayeon unnie with a pink buddle in her arms. She looked exhausted, but she looked so happy.

"Yeji-ah Ryujin-ah. Come here meet our baby girl" Nayeon signals us towards her.

I walk to the left of her and Ryujin follows behind me. I look down to see her face. She looks so much like Nayeon unnie.

"Unnie, she is beautiful." I say smiling down.

"Of course she does. She's my god daughter" Ryujin jokes. We all let out a laugh.

"Yah Ryujin-ah She's my daughter. She gets the looks from me" Jeongyeon Unnie says as she moves towards her girls.

"Ryujin she's lying to you. She gets the looks from me" Nayeon unnie nudges Jeongyeon unnie. 

She laughs and throws her hands up as if she admits defeat. They hold the baby close to each other.

 I start to shed a tear. It was such a beautiful moment.

"Yeji you want to hold her?" Nayeon looks up, holding her baby towards me.

"Yes, I would love too." I hold the baby in my arms. She coos as I adjust her blanket. I see Ryujin staring at me. She slowly moves closer to me to get a better look of the baby. 

She touches my arm and smiles at me. I don't know if it was the moment, but I got butterflies in my stomach. She looked like she was in love. Of course with the baby...

"You want to hold her?" I asked her. She looked as if she had tears starting to form in her eyes. She slowly nods. I slowly adjust so that Ryujin can hold her.

"Did you guys figure out a name for this beautiful princess?" Ryujin asks, still captivated by the baby.

"Yeah we wanted to name her after two very important people in our lives. Her name is Im-Yoo Yejin" Nayeon Unnie smiles at us both. We both look at her now with tears falling from both our eyes.

"Hi Yejin, my name is Ryujin Unnie. I will always protect you, my little princess" Ryujin promises the baby as she kisses the top of baby Yejin's head.

This is the softest I've seen Ryujin in the 2 years I've known her. She usually has this badass persona, but today I saw her soft side. It was refreshing to see her like this. 

We both couldn't get enough of baby Yejin. We stayed in the hospital for a couple hours to help Jeongyeon and Nayeon unnie. Mainly to make sure they could take a small nap. I'm sure they were both exhausted. They both passed out next to each other. 

Ryujin is still holding on to Yejin rocking back and forth. 

"You're so in love with her aren't you" I nudge her shoulder smiling.

"She's probably the only girl I'll ever fall in love with" She smiles, and I notices her dimples around her face. Her little whiskers are so pretty. My heart fluttered at the sight. 

She's really pretty.
