The Maddox Manor

— Mattheo Riddle —

I walk Thea back to her dorm and give her a kiss on the forehead, "Goodnight Dora".

"Goodnight Mattheo" she says as she walks into her dorm.

Not being able to pick her up and throw her on her bed is driving me crazy, but I know it's for the best at the moment. Best believe as soon as she is ready, she won't be walking for weeks.

I start walking back to my dorm and start thinking about Stretton's face as I wrapped my arm round Thea and how she become quite after. The anger starts to build up inside me and I decide to make my way back to the party.

"Stretton" I call out in the corridor as I see him talking with some Hufflepuffs.

"What do you want Riddle?" He asks, rather smug I may add.

Maybe he thinks he's protected by Thea.

"What's your problem?" I ask looking down at him, I tower over most people at this school. If there's one thing my father got right, it was my height.

"Nothing" he turns back to his friends.

I grab him by his collar and throw him against the wall, "Answer me Stretton".

He's slumped on floor leaning against the wall, dabbing his lip that split when I threw him.

I see Draco and Tom enter the hallway from the corner of my eye but choose to ignore them.

"Fucking answer me" I practically spit out as I'm looking down at him.

"You seriously want to know?" He says and I nod my head.

"It didn't seem long before Thea started to move on that's all" he says, "I mean we all heard the rumours about her hooking up with you at the Maddox Summer party, but I thought 'No Thea would never do that to Ced' I guess I was fucking wrong".

There's so much anger in me there could be smoke coming out of my ears.

"Cedric hated you Riddle, he would be infuriated that Thea ever gave you a chance" he says, "If you even care about Thea, you wouldn't even dare her knowing that".

That's it.

I swing a punch at him and take him down, I get on top of him and carry on punching until I feel Tom and Draco pulling me off.

They eventually drag me back to the Slytherin common room and I slump onto the couch, "Fucking prick" I say throwing one of the books on the table at the wall.

"Look ignore him" Tom says.

"What does he know?" Draco adds.

"He was Cedric's bestfriend, what if he's right" I start pacing the common room.

"Come on, it's not up to him to decide who Thea dates" Draco says, "She cares about you".

"Stretton is just a dick" Tom carries on.

"Whatever" I make my way up to my dorm,
"Don't tell Thea".

Stretton's right, Cedric wouldn't want Thea dating me. What do I do?

I get ready and walk into the common room where everyone is sat down talking, I see Thea smile at me and I give her a soft smile in return. I make my way into the kitchen to grab some food.

"You look extra hot today" I hear Thea say and she wraps her arms around me.

I just carry on making a sandwich.

She backs off "Well I'm going to see my dad today, Draco and Tom are coming with me", she sighs "I'll talk to you later I guess".

Fuck.

— Theodora Maddox —

We arrive at Maddox Manor and we make our way inside.

"Theodora!" I hear my dad say and I run up and give him a hug.

We pull apart and he notices the boys.

"Tom! Draco!" He walks up and pulls them into a hug.

After a while of catching up with my dad, I go into the kitchen to grab everyone a drink. I start thinking about how Mattheo was acting this morning, he was cold. Maybe he was expecting to stay on my dorm last night? Maybe he's just hungover?

"Thea are you okay in there?" My dad calls out, "Yeah all good" I smile as I walk back into the room where everyone is sitting.

Tom looks at me and nods, I know exactly what he means and nod back.

"Draco maybe we should let Thea catch up with her dad alone?" Tom pulls Draco out of the room.

"Urm dad?" I say sitting back down next to him and placing the drinks on the table.

"Yes?" He says reaching for a drink.

"It's about Mattheo" I sigh, "His father- Voldemort wants him to get the mark".

I start to fiddle with my necklace as I see my dad lean back. He sighs "Thea you know I can't do anything".

I look down, "I know you care about your friends,
but Voldemort doesn't owe me any favours that I could even thinking about cashing in".

"Dad I just, don't want him to get hurt - He has no one protecting him" I say looking back up at me dad.

"Look Thea I used the only favour that Voldemort owed me on not killing you after you went after him because of Cedric" he sighs.

"What if you did owe him a favour" I say and my dad immediately stands up "No Thea, No".

"But dad- " I try to say but I'm cut off, "I said no, your mother would turn in her grave if she knew I let you get the dark mark".

He sits back down and puts an arm round me, "Look I'll try and figure something out" he kissed me on my head.

"Thank you dad" I hug him.

"Tom and Draco said something about a ball next weekend for Cedric" he sits back.

"Yeah, some girl Lavender set it up for attention" I roll my eyes.

My dad chuckles, "What?" I giggle.

"Nothing it's just Cedric would hate having a ball for him, do you remember how embarrassed he got when people got those badges with his face on for the tournament" He laughs and I do too.

"Are you going to go?" He asks.

I nod, "Who?" He asks as he takes a sip of his drink.

"Urm well- funny story", I start fiddling with my necklace "I'm actually going with Mattheo Riddle".

"Does he make you happy Thea?" My dad asks looking for an answer in my eyes.

"Yes he does, I just- ", he interrupts me "Feel guilty about Cedric".

I look down and nod, "I saw one of Cedric's friends at a party last night and his face when he saw me with Mattheo" I sigh.

"Theodora since when did me and your mother raise you to care what other people think?" I look over to him and giggle.

He was right my parents weren't exactly a couple favourite when they got together, but they still loved each other till the end.

It starts to get late so we say bye to my dad and make our way back to the castle.
