— Mattheo Riddle —

It's been 2 weeks since we went to the Maddox Manor and about a week ago she shut me out completely. I don't know what to do.

She will only talk to Draco, it's like she doesn't want to see me. I know it's the anniversary of her mums passing but I don't know why she's shut me out. It's driving me insane, I just want to be there for her.

I'm up on the Astronomy tower, sketching. It's been a long time since I've sketched. I've missed it. I have a tea, a cigarette and my sketchbook, what more do I need? Thea, but she needs space and I need to give it to her.

I hear footsteps approach and a presence sit next to me, "Hi" Thea says shyly, looking down and fiddling with her necklace.

"Hey" I say admiring her, this is the most I've seen her in a week.

"I'm sorry I shut you out" she sighs and tests her head on my shoulder.

It's the anniversary of my mothers death, I always feel so lost this time of year. My life is filled with death, ever since I can remember people around me, in my family, have been dying.

My dad always said I'm a miracle baby, my parents were trying for years to have a child. After multiple miscarriages, my mum nearly gave up and then along came me. They did try to give me a sibling... it didn't work out. More death.

Draco was there for me when it first happened, in the hospital with me. It was meant to be a great day, the second time my mum have held a pregnancy this long (the first being me). We all had such high hopes.

I remember the doctors face talking to my dad, and then my dad just broke. He collapsed and Narcissa ran to his side, it was then explained to me what happened.

Not only did I lose my baby brother, I lost my mum. She was the best person I've ever known, she would've loved Mattheo. She always sees the best in people, she thinks the uglier the past the more beautiful the person (in most cases). She passed that onto me.

"Theadora" Tom came barrelling into my room.

"Yeah" I mutter as I look up at him.

"Stop pushing Mattheo away" he says.

I look down, "I just don't want this to bring back memories of when his - your mum passed".

Tom sits on the edge of my bed "That kid loves you, he's so miserable that he can't be there for you".

"I'll go find him" I softly smile.

I know exactly where Mattheo would be, up on the astronomy tower. My mum's Astronomy tower.

As I enter I walk over to her plaque on the wall

There's no one my dad loves more than my mum, maybe me, but it's a different kind of love. He devoted his life to making sure me and her were always happy. Including befriending Voldy to ensure our safety.

I make my way up the stairs and see Mattheo sketching, I sit next to him.

"I was worried I was going to bring up memories of your mothers passing if you saw me like this" I sigh.

He wraps an arm around me "Theodora Diana Maddox, I love you and I will always be there for you when you need me", he places a soft kiss on my forehead.
