Summary

Other Scar meets the Hermits.

Now they stood in a park while the evening sun shone upon them. Many different people stood around the area, none recognizable. They all turned in the direction of Scar and Jellie, waving. Scar was baffled for a second, then he turned around to see Glasses and Other Scar walking over.

Jellie hopped back onto Scar's shoulder, "I think this is the same day. Other You has the same clothes."

"Hermits, this is Scar," Glasses faced the group. "And Scar, these are the Hermits. You're one of us now. Alright, let's see if I can do this in one breath." Glasses inhaled, "We have Cub, Iskall, Ren, Beef, Wels, Jess, Biffa, Doc, Etho, False, Jevin, Impulse, Joe, Mumbo, Python, Tango, TFC, xB, Cleo, Zueljin, and Hypno." He took a quick breather. "Keralis isn't here right now, but he does live here. And you know me, Xisuma."

Scar blinked, "That was a lot, Jellie." Everyone started to move around, talking, getting drinks, and firing up a grill.

"I'll remember for you," Jellie promised. "I think we need to listen into the conversations." With a sigh, Scar walked into the crowd and listened into many conversations. Other Scar talked to some of the other 'Hermits', some conversations going better than others.

Through the hours they listened to conversations, not a piece of recognition was gained from either Scar nor Jellie. Other Scar easily talked to each person, just as Scar would do. The sun set and people brought out lights to continue the night. Other Scar was the third to leave, with the moon partway to its peak. Once he said his good-byes, they all faded to dust with a card on the ground where he stood.

It had two 'I's and 'THE HIGH PRIESTESS' at the bottom. Scar stood between two trees, holding a cup. He seemed neither happy or sad, just content.

"It says two, by the way." Jellie crouched in front of the card, studying it.

"That was a long...what would you call that?" Scar sat down and picked at the grass.

"I'd say either a memory or some important stage in your life, assuming this is your life we're looking at. And that is true, we've been here for a while. Do you feel hungry or thirsty?"

"I don't feel anything. My heart, barely. Why do you ask?"

"We've been here for hours," Jellie looked through the trees at the moon. "It's weird we still feel the same. And yes, even my heart is beating slowly. Do you think we're dead or something?"

Scar stopped pulling grass. "I-Let's not say that. Can we touch it now? I want to see what's next."

Jellie studied the man for a moment. "Fine," she walked over the card and jumped back onto Scar's shoulder.
