IT WAS NOT STRANGE FOR CAMPERS TO BE WHISPERING. Especially under these circumstances. Circumstances? You may be asking. Well somebody stole Zeus's bolt and he was not happy.
"I want to know when the quest person is coming!" Annabeth frantically panicked for the 100th time about this person.
"Annabeth, I know you're like, whoo new camper for a quest but you need to calm down! You can't just assume EVERY single person is this person." Alice told her, patting her back.
"Alicccceeeee! I want to go on my queeest!" Annabeth whined.
"Do you want me to throw you across camp into the river?" Annabeth shook her head. "Then stop whining, the time is coming. I can feel it." Alice told her.
Annabeth didn't say anything, Alice walked out of her cabin, many of the Athena kids bed her farewell. She did the same to them. She walked out the cabin and smelt the fresh air. It was nice and people were screaming around.
Meanwhile, somewhere in camp.
Two campers where on a canoe in the sound. One was Jasmine and the other was Ivy. "Pspspspspsps." Ivy whispered as she waved a leaf around she got from the Demeter cabin, mainly from Katie.
Jasmine held the ores and slowly began rowing the canoe. "So.. what's your plan?" Jasmine asked.
Ivy stopped and turned to look at Jasmine. "Befriend it?" Ivy said awkwardly, not really planning it out.
"That's your plan?" Jasmine stopped rowing to scream.
Ivy awkwardly replied, "It's not so much a plan as it is an optimistic goal. It's fine, I don't need a plan!" She grinned. She put the leaf over the water again to do her ps thing again.
"Yes you do! You can't just go stumbling around the world...planless!" Jasmine yelled.
Ivy was no longer dangling the leaf over the edge as she replied, "You know what, that one was on me. I forgot you were an Athena kid." She went to dangle it over again.
Jasmine had began rowing again, rather aggressively. "It's not just an Athena thing. You think you can just befriend the monster of the lake with some leaves and blind optimism?" She yelled in disbelief.
"Plus I'm making these noises! Pssp pssp pssp..." Ivy grinned as if it was okay and began waving the leaf again.
"The naiads are laughing at us." Jasmine pointed out dumbfounded.
"Pssp pssp pssp." Ivy psed as she was still mindlessly waving the lead.
"You know, I didn't even know we had a lake monster." Jasmine pointed out, just realising it.
"Yeah, I overheard Gino and Ingrid talking about how it's a big secret." Ivy grinned with her pearly white teeth showing.
"Gino and Ingrid from the Hermes cabin?" Jasmine asked, leaning forward to ask Ivy more intimidatingly.
"Yeah!" She replied in a shrill voice.
"And were they talking about this big secret thing quietly, or..."
"They were pretty loud, now that you mention it. Guess they're not good at keeping secrets!" Ivy shrugged as if it didn't matter to her, which it didn't really to her.
"Ivy..." Jasmine began.
"Pssp pssp pssp..." Ivy continued.
Jasmine sighed. "Have you come up with a name for the monster yet?" She asked, rather invested despite being very angry just a minute ago.
