"Aria, can you come down and put the dishes away!... NOW!" my mom yelled from the kitchen.

I pulled away from Nikki's lips and groaned as I got off his lap. Don't judge me either, you would be doing this too if someone this pretty was in front of you too. Nikki followed me down the stairs where my mother was left a bit clueless as to why a grown man was following her teenage daughter downstairs from her bedroom.

"Um Ari, hunny, are you getting robbed or something? Who is this?" she asked

"I'm sure Dad has told you, probably Sabrina as well.. This is Nikki. My boyfriend" I said casually as I started to put away the dishes.

"Hi Mrs. Preston, nice to finally meet you." Nikki went out for a greeting handshake. My mother glared at me with confusion as she reluctantly shook his hand.

"Dad didn't tell me he was your boyfriend..." she said

"We only established that a few days ago." I continued putting the plates away.

"I think my last question is going to be what the hell was he doing upstairs?"

"He was just... chillin'..." I said knowing that I don't have an excuse.

"You know that boys are not allowed in your room. The same goes for Sabrina, why should it change for you?"

     "He's famous?" I nervously smile.

"That doesn't matter when you end up pregnant!" she criticized.

"Mom why are you yelling at me-" I then whisper "he's standing right here, you're being rude."

"It's my house Aria. No means no."

"Please just be nice to him.." I beg,

"Fine.. What did you guys have for dinner?"

"I already ate-" elbowed Nikki in his side because what kind of idiot says that? "Owww" he whined.

"I think we're just going to have some leftovers, I'm not that hungry." I respond.

"I still have room for dessert." Nikki says stifling a laugh. I slowly turn my head and give him the death stare. My mom isn't an idiot, she knows what he means.

"So, Mom, how was your day? Anything exciting happen?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

She looked at me for a moment, her guard still up, but then her expression softened a bit. "Oh, you know, the usual. Work was busy, and I had lunch with Katy."

"That's nice." I continue to mind my business. "Do you mind if I go with Nikki to California tomorrow?"

"What the fuck Ari? Why are you asking me now?"

"Because we are leaving tomorrow..." I smile.

"You give me such a headache, you know that?" she sighed.

"I love you too Mom" I roll my eyes.

The next morning, after Nikki was forced to sleep on the couch, I packed my bags for the trip to California with Nikki. My mom kept hovering around my bedroom, still clearly uneasy about the whole situation. Nikki was trying his best to be friendly and respectful, but I could tell he was getting a little uncomfortable with the tension in the air.

"Are you sure you have everything you need, Aria?" my mom asked, double-checking my suitcase for the billionth time.

     "Yes mom." I sighed.

"Come downstairs in my room for a second, ok?" she asked as she left me and Nikki alone.

"What do you think that's about?" Nikki asked. I turned my head and give him a look. "Well just because it's probably about me, it could be about anything else too." he huffed.

"I'll be back." I trotted my way down to my mom's room and sat down on her bed. "If you're going to give me a lecture, I already know Mom."

"Please be careful. Don't do drugs. If you feel uncomfortable or peer pressured, just leave, find a pay phone, call me... just be very cautious."

"I will, I promise." I tilt my head.

"If that boy really likes you then he should have no problem leaving with you if you want to leave. Remind yourself of your standards"

"I know he looks... mean, but he is actually a good guy. Please just let me give him a chance..." I begged.

She stayed quiet and we exchanged many looks, trying to read each other's thoughts. "Get your stuff, I don't want you to miss your flight."

"Thank you, Mom." I smiled, ran back upstairs, and threw myself at Nikki, making him fall back first on the bed. I smothered him in kisses, which he happily accepted.

"Am I missing something here or are you just in a really good mood?" Nikki asks.

"Im just excited" I say with a soft voice.

"Now you're making me excited" he ran his hands down my hips.

"I can tell" I smirk. "But that's too bad because we need to go." I said getting off his lap.

"Oh ho ho- hell no!" he laughs "Since when did you think it's okay to tease me like that?" he says with a very seductive tone. I stood there crossing my arms and childishly smiled. "You are so getting fucked on that plane."

     "Nikki!" I squeal.

"Come on, let's just go." he shakes his head and I follow him down to the kitchen.

We left for Midway Airport and finally got to the drop-off. Mu moms demeanor had softened a bit, and she looked at Nikki with a more understanding expression. "Nikki, take good care of her, okay?" she said, trying to sound stern but also caring.

"I promise I will, Mrs. Preston. You can trust me" Nikki replied with a warm smile. My mom grimaced at the last part of the sentence because she defiantly could not trust him.

After some final instructions and reminders, we said our goodbyes, and Nikki and I headed off to our gate. During the flight, Nikki tried playing footsies with me the whole time. I eventually fell asleep on his shoulder for the rest of the flight. Walking our way down to baggage claim at LAX I asked Nikki "I can't believe that you left a brand new Corvette at my house.. You know my dad is going to have a field day with that thing, right?"

"I wasn't in the mood to do a whole road trip, but don't worry, I'll come back and maybe bring it here eventually."

Finally, our suitcases appeared on the conveyor belt, and we grabbed them. As we walked out of the airport, the warm California air enveloped us, and so did a jumpscare of a hug from Tommy to Nikki. "What up Sixx!" Tommy yelled.

"He-hey T-bone!" Nikki tapped his back. "You remember Aria, right?"

"Of course, I do, how ya doing Missus Sixx?" Tommy asked. His greeting left me blushing and a little speechless.

     "I-... I'm ok." I stuttered.

"Alright, where to first?" he asked taking my bags and putting them in his car.

     "Lunch!" Nikki stated.

Tommy got in the driver's seat "Lunch it is!"
