"Hey Teressa, a round of shots for the table!" Nikki shouted.

"And you made fun of me for knowing all the bartenders! Look who's talking now!" I remark.

"Mr., Mrs. Preston? Carl? Shots?" Nikki offers the mature adults at the table.

"I'm not doing any shots!" My mom laughs.

"Maybe Kathy over there would take a few." My dad points to Carl's wife.

"Hell yeah! Give me one of those!" Kathy happily shouts.

The Crue and I decided to move our party over to Luckys for some drinks and food. I had called my parents at the house and told them to meet us in Carl's boat to watch whatever band they had tonight and to pay my bar tab. My parents are actually fun when they let themselves loosen up.

"Come on Ma, have some fun." Vince winked, pushing a drink towards my mom.

I rolled my eyes at Vince's gesture. "Oh brother"

The drunken activities carried on later through the night. All the parents had called it in around 8:30 but the rest of us were out much, much later. I began drinking plenty of water when I realized it was not too far from midnight and I still had to drive the boat back to the house.

"Alright, folks" I said, trying to sound authoritative despite my intoxicated state. "As much as I'd love for this night to go on forever, I've got to be the responsible one here. We need to head back to the boat and get back to the house before my dad takes me out of his will."

The groans of protest certainly didn't help but nonetheless, we had to pay out and get going. We made our way back to the boat, the laughter and chatter continued, and I was almost sure that someone was going to lose balance and fall off the dock. Barely having everyone successfully get in their seats, I turned the key and the loud engine startled everyone back into sobriety.

"Yikes" I hissed, knowing that the sound certainly woke some residents on the water. "On that note, let's get the hell out of here." Attempting to keep a low profile but resistance from Tommy who instead of keeping the party going, I kept the radio off. It's nice sometimes to hear how the boat hits the calm water. I could see the shimmering reflection of the moon on the lake, and the faint outlines of channel markers as we made the way back. Pulling back up to the pier, I handed the boys that were going up to the house a couple of bags and had Nikki hang back with me. "Can you go up and man the switch for me? Be very careful where you step and do not turn on the lights"

"Why can't I turn on the lights?" he asked.

"Bugs! I don't want bugs!" I laugh.  Guiding the boat to sit on the dolly right, I shouted "Hit it" and successfully pulled her back in. "You can go back upstairs Nikki, I have a couple things I need to do before I close 'er up." I tell him while emptying the melted ice from the cooler into the lake.

"Are you kidding? I'm not going to leave you!" he responded with a pitch in his voice, making me smile. "Let me rephrase- I'm not going to leave you down here while I go upstairs and get yelled at by your mom and dad." he corrected, sitting down in one of the swivel rocking chairs. My smile turned into an expressionless face mixed with annoyance.

"Then you're going to help out instead of sitting on that pretty little butt of yours" I scoff.

"Ahhh you think my butt is pretty?" he smirked. "And small?"

"I stand corrected- it's as big as your ego" I smile with a small laugh.

"I could help.." he stood up "or.." he walked closer to me "I could do something else.

"Oh come on Nikki, what's gonna happen? You're gonna do me on the concrete?" I scoff.

He pulls me away from my work and wraps his arms around me, making sure I look him in the eyes. "We could knock one thing off your bucket list." he bats his eyebrows.

     "Fuck-it list" I smile.

"Either way, you're mine Preston." he pulls me in even closer, our lips brushing against one another.

I smile and hum through a passionate kiss. I manage to pull away and catch my breath "That's cute Sixx, but I gotta finish up here. I'm tired."

"Boooo you suck!" He huffs and sits back down with his arms crossed like a child. "Come on Ari, have a little fun!"

"We had plenty of fun today!" I respond.

"Not the kind of fun I wanted." he mumbled.

     "Well suck it up, buttercup."

After finally finishing the chores, Nikki and I lug ourselves up the hill and into the house. Much past midnight now, we found Tommy and Vince asleep on each of the couches and Mick in my sister's vacant room.

"Where am I supposed to sleep?" Nikki asks, seeing no available options.

"You can always sleep with me" I smile up at him.

"Won't your parents be pissed?" he whispered.

"Only if they find us with our clothes on the floor." I wink. Nikki then follows me to my bed and gets dressed into his nightwear, which consists of his boxers. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?" I ask, motioning to his clothes on the floor.

"I figured as long as it's not your clothes it won't be a problem." he smiles as he gets under the covers.

I pick up his clothes and throw them in the laundry basket. I began searching through my suitcase, looking for something more comfortable to wear. I began to undress but I felt eyes burning into the back of my head. "Are you watching me change?" I turn my head to my shoulder.

I could feel his smirk as he shyly replied "...no"

I finish getting comfortable and slip myself under the covers, right into the arms of Nikki. "Goodnight baby" I kiss his lips.

He went in for a deeper kiss "Night beautiful."
