"I do have something serious to ask you." Fatima said
"What is it?"
"Why haven't you completely moved in?"
"Me and Denzel agreed on buying a house together. We'll still keep our houses, but we wanted something together."
"That's a good thing. I want to know how y'all met. You never told me. I love a good love story."
"We have to wait til he gets in the house. I want us both to tell our part."
"Okay. I'm actually excited to hear this. I have to ask you about me and Zac though."
"What about y'all ?"
"He hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend yet. It's been two years."
"You told me yourself that you didn't think that you're ready for a relationship. When did that change?"
"It changed a while ago. He should've known that."
"Fatima, he's asked you to be his girlfriend at least 10 times. He's not a mind reader. You have to talk to him."
"I don't want to talk though. I want him to put the question on the table."
"You have to talk. Communication is key. Make sure y'all are both on the same page."
"You're right."
The doorbell rang. Pauletta went to go open it since she was closer to the door. It was Zac.
"Hey" Zac said
"Hey. I'm glad you're here. Fatima needs to talk to you."
"Good. I need to talk to her too."
Fatima came outside.
"Hey" Fatima said nervously
"Hey. I really need to talk to you, and your mom told me that you needed to talk to me."
"I do. You can go first."
"I don't think that I can do this thing anymore. I want our relationship to move to the next level, but you aren't here for it." He said. "I'd understand, but I'm getting a feeling that you don't want to be with me."
She grabbed his hand. "I'm ready Zac. I was just about to talk to you about that. I wasn't ready because I was scared to lose our friendship. You've given me every reason to just give this thing a try. You constantly reassure me. You love me, and I love you. I'm ready for this."
"I love you. I thought that I was going to have to ask you for the 12th time."
"No. I was just going back and forth in my head like usual. You've given me every reason to be with you. Sine you're my man now, I have to tell you that I ran into Paul and Karen's weird ass today at the mall."
"Fuck them." Zac kissed her. Fatima deepened the kiss. Zac pulled back. "You starting with me."
"No. I want you."
"You got me. I'm right here."
"No, I want WANT you." She gave him a look
"Go get your bag. I'll send you an address and I want you to meet me there."
"Ok"she went back in the house.
