"I know" Taraji laughed. "I really missed telling you things, coming home to you, and kissing you."
"I know mamas. We back now, and we ain't doing this no more. If you ever try to leave, I'm handcuffing your ass."
"You know I like handcuffs." She laughed
"I know you do."
*at the hospital*
Pauletta was sitting on the edge of the hospital bed, leaning on Denzel. He rubbed her back while he hugged her.
She wasn't in much pain, but she wanted him to be on Denzel. His touch always made her feel better.
A few minutes later, the doctor came in to check her. She was 9 centimeters dilated, with only one centimeter left to go.
"You ready for this?" Pauletta asked.
"Yes. I'm ready for this, and everything else that comes with it."
*2 days later*
They just got home with "Jr". Fatima and Taraji were there. They fell in love with their little brother.
Denzel and Pauletta went upstairs.
"You tired?" Denzel asked
"A little."
"A lie. You only got 3 hours of sleep. I want you to lay down and get some rest."
"I'll get some sleep later. I feel like I'll miss something if I go to sleep."
"You won't baby. I got him."
Denzel helped her shower. He made sure to have her postpartum underwear laid out, along with the "pad-sickle" out of the freezer. It's for comfort after giving birth. The coldness helps.
Once she got out of the shower, he piled her down with a mixture or shea butter and bio-oil. He put her postpartum underwear on her, along with her robe.
He pulled the covers back and she laid down. He kissed her, and he went back downstairs.
"What y'all down here doing to my son?" Denzel asked
"Shhh. He's sleeping" Taraji said
"He's so cute" Fatima said.
"Makes me have a little baby fever." Taraji said
"Y'all both have permanent baby fever." Denzel shook his head. "I'm waiting on one of y'all to pop one out."
"T, take one for the team." Fatima said
"Girl. I'm having a baby when I turn 40. That's it."
"40?" Denzel questioned. "Them eggs going to be long gone."
*the Taylor residence*
Jeremiah was coming back home today. He was released from the facility. Zac wasn't looking forward to seeing him, so he left to go to work before Jeremiah came.
Jeremiah didn't say a word, but he just came in and went inside of his room. Gladys and Samuel didn't mind because they hated to hear his mouth.
Gladys and Samuel left and went to work. At Samuels job, they had new new female working at the engineering company. She's been there for a week, but she keeps making passes at Samuel.
Everybody knows that he's married. It's not a coincidence that Gladys and Samuel work in the same building. Most of the employees know that Gladys doesn't play about him. He's told Gladys about her.
