As Lord Shiva opens His eyes and realizes what went around Him, He notices Parvati. He immediately recognises Her as Adishakti and the reincarnation of Princess Sati. After years of solemn silence, He finally speaks and expresses His Eternal Love for Her.

This poem is the final story in the three part saga of the ShivShakti Union Series, and the beginning of the tale of the first love marriage!

And as every sand and storm settled down,
He was finally free from His frown,
I could see through the cloud and dust,
The sight that I had to regard must.

He saw me, now and came closer, to me,
Tears in His truthfully clear eyes, I could see,
"You've come?", He said in His honest tone,
"I've waited for you all this time, all alone."

I looked at Him, trying to absorb every word,
Trying to gain back His faith from each phrase I heard,
He continued speaking and confided in me,
Caged words waiting to express themselves, finally set free.

And further, He continued, " These icy mountains will tell you my tale,
Of abandonment, detachment, during the decades of cold and hail,
The witnesses are the Sun, the Moon, the Glacier and the Tower,
For what is a Protector without His Power?

And though I've been meditating for years,
But today, I've fully awakened and am free from my fears,
I've been in sleep before, but now I am at rest,
Oh Parvati, you've finally passed this great test!

The Heavens are pleased today, the Gods can rejoice,
You've finally achieved and won over the Groom of your choice,
All my days and years spent have finally paid off well,
And about my solivagant pastimes in silence, I'll now tell.

When I realised that for Kankhal, you were going to leave,
Destiny decided to unfold into something I couldn't believe,
I knew I had loose you, but I had to let go,
Trying to accept the consequences which I already did know.

The letter of melancholy reached Kailash, much dreaded,
About what ensued at Kankhal, where in defiance you were headed,
I had lost my calm, my beloved Sati was no more,
Tears flowed down, in memory of our times spent before.

In wrath, I danced, because dance is expression too,
The fiery anger, raging to avenge you,
There was destruction all around,
Veerbhadra and my army was sent to the ground.

And when I carried my Sati on my arms all across the Earth,
Hoping to meet you again, in your next birth,
The Sudarshan Chakra cut Her body into a thousand piece,
Which brought my unending wander to a cease.

The days that followed, were in darkness; although under the Moon,
And I lost track about how days turned into years, and years into centuries soon,
I wandered in your memory, hoping to find peace fast,
But today that I see you here, I have tranquillity at last.

Your tale of sacrifice and Supreme Love,
Will be cherished even by the Gods above,
You devotion and determination is truly divine,
Oh Gauri, I'm yours and you're mine!

Our wait has come to an end now,
Go prepare for the Wedding vow,
At King Himavan's palace, our place of Union, we'll meet,
The entire Universe will be invited to this feat!

Oh Aparna, how you've not eaten anything since years,
In your sincere eyes, I promise to never bring any tears,
I know how you've suffered hurt and pain,
But from now onwards, you'll be lovely and youthful again!

My Love for you has always been since the beginning till the end of Time,
And now our tale will be remembered for ever, immortal and prime,
Dearest Girija, without you, this Shiva is a Shava, for you breathe life in me,
And now, my beautiful bride, won't you agree to be? "

And as He spoke the last word, with a touch of magic, I felt fresher again,
My happiness knew no bounds; the feeling was insane,
I nodded and laid my head on His strong shoulders, now never to be apart,
A nostalgic deja vu, it felt like I had finally found a home for my heart.
