"Hey...hey! Wake up!" A young boy shook the body of his friend as he was too deep in his sleep.
Eventually after some light tapping on the cheeks and nudging of his entire body, the other male finally woke up, his eyes barely open.
"What the... Who is... Oh... It's you." After he rubbed his eyes and fully got a better view on who was in front of him, he hardly cared about it.
"Cleo! Thank goodness you're awake! Listen, I got something to tell you." the other boy almost couldn't handle his excitement as he was speaking mid of his sentence.
"What? And is it really important for you to come barge in my tent in..." Cleo pushed the young boy he's with aside as he pulled the zipper down of his tent.
When he took a peek outside, he realized there were no sunlight which really annoyed him.
"Oh my god do you really have to tell me that at the middle of the night?! Other cadets are already asleep! Wh-" the young boy pinned him down as he placed his hand on Cleo's mouth, he soon reached the zipper and put it back up as footsteps eventually came close to them.
"Shh! You really don't need to bark at me like that! Besides, I really want you to come with me! This is going to be an exciting experience you don't want to miss! Now are you with me or not?!" He whispered as he kept hold of Cleo's mouth but his gleeful energy almost made him look like he was about to physically burst.
Soon enough, both of them had calmed down, the footsteps continued as it headed far away from them, the silhouette standing in front of the tent earlier shortly fade out afterwards.
The young boy let Cleo go as both of them sat up.
"Fine, whatever it is that you want to tell me, spill it now before I get bored or else!" Cleo exclaimed but in a whispering tone.
"Okay okay, geez, you're always such a hot-head y'know? Anyways, rumors had been spreading widely around campus and some students are talking about a giant beast lurking around the high cliffs!" Cleo looked a bit worried at his companion for being rather thrilled at an information like that.
"So? What do you want to do about it?" Cleo replied, sounding uninterested already.
"Well, I'm starting to get really curious about it and I really wanted to check it out... And I was hoping you wouldn't mind to come along with me?" The young boy pleaded, using every "cuteness" he has within him in hopes of Cleo agreeing.
He clasped both of his hands together as he tilted his head to the side with a sheepish smile.
"Pweeeaassee?" He added.
Cleo sighed, rolling his eyes and shook his head, he knew that this boy was asking for huge trouble, but on the other hand, if they were successful on just taking a small peek of this said giant beast, maybe nothing will go wrong, right?
"Fine, I'll come along." with Cleo's response, the young boy celebrated joyously as he held him into a tight and loving hug.
"Yes! Thank you you're the best Cleo!" Their embrace formed a tension for Cleo, even with the two of them surrounded by darkness, his red cheeks is still visible enough to see by anyone... In which this case is his friend.
"Aww... You're blushing!"
"No I'm not!"
"Whatever you say best friend!" The young boy winked at Cleo.

Cleo's eyes awoke to the sound of birds chirping just outside of his window, the curtains were still closed but the sunlight can be seen glimmering.
The young master carefully sat up as he placed his hand on his head from his sudden headache.
"Hm... Just a dream." After carefully massaging his forehead, he stood up and approached his window, he opened the curtains up and the light finally shone brightly inside his room, he felt comforted as the gleam caressed him like a young child...
Shortly after, he heard a knock coming from his door.
"Cleo? Are you awake?" A voice was heard.
"Alex? Hold on I'm coming!" Cleo hurriedly rushed towards his door and opened it, standing before him was his brother who looked at him surprised.
Alex: "Well... It appears that you're not yet ready Cleo."
Cleo's eyes widened as he realized that he was still in his sleeping garment and his hair messy from his sleep.
Cleo: "Oh dear! Is it okay if I meet you later? I just need to clean myself up."
Alex: "Sure, not a problem, and also after you get dressed, meet me in the dining room so we could have our breakfast, I'll be waiting since I also have to tell you about something important"
Cleo: "Of course, see you then."
Alex nodded as he closed the door letting Cleo get ready to start the day.
After what felt like half an hour, Cleo was finally done, just working on some minor touches before he finally went out of his room, wasting no more time, he'd eventually arrived at the dining room where he had spotted his brother already sat and waiting for him.
He noticed that he was holding a bunch of flyers, what could it be?
Cleo took the seat in front of his brother as they were served by their attendants a tower of...
Cleo: "Goldenfruit pancakes with sweet syrup? My favorite..."
Alex: "Yeah, I requested our chefs to prepare that since I know how much you love it and they happily complied."
Cleo gave Alex a faint smile before he started to dig in to his most loved pancakes.
Every bite he happily enjoyed until its last piece.
Once he was done, Alex gave him a piece of the flyer that he was examining earlier.
Cleo: "What's this?"
Alex: "It's an advertisement to introduce the newly opened resort that's just outside Wesmingburg! Can you believe it?"
Cleo: "Resort huh?"
Alex: "I've been doing some research about it and apparently there is some interesting landmark places nearby! We should go check it out."
Cleo: "Check it out? When?"
Alex: "Oh? I almost forgot to tell you, I actually booked a reservation for just the two of us since after working so hard back in the academy, I figured that you deserve a break from everything that's happened."
Cleo: "I guess that'll be good since I don't have anything to do for now."
Alex: "That's the spirit! So, we leave by Saturday morning, is the schedule okay for you?"
Cleo: "Yes."
Alex: "Wonderful! This is going to be so much fun!"
Cleo: "Yeah... I sure hope so."
After their breakfast, Alex prepared everything that they needed for their trip as Cleo had handled the minor necessities.
Both of them wanted this to be another unforgettable memory yet something just bothers Cleo about it.
"I really hope I figure it out soon before it's too late"
