"Hmm... Equipment seems to be ready and in top shape..." I examined the inside of the bag and even double-checked it before letting the butler close them one by one.

"Are there any more bags that I should expect?" I asked one of the attendants.

"No more young master, Master Alexander told us to only pack lightly as it's only going to be a few days."

I hummed as a response.

"He surely doesn't like packing too much" I had told myself as I watched the butler arrange the bags properly which I had ordered to avoid any possible damage before I told them to close the car trunk.

Since it's only the two of us, I suggested Alex to only use a small vehicle enough for our items and the both of us, and it seems like we don't need any driver since Alex has been bragging his driver's license to me last night.

He can be goofy sometimes when he's in a good mood but something about this still keeps irritating me... Like a warning of such.

I sure hope my worries are proven wrong once our trip starts.

In a moment's time I saw Alex coming down the stairs, he looks really excited.

"Alrighty! Are you ready Cleo!?" He exclaimed at me with a bright grin.

"Very..." I tried to reply with enthusiasm to match his energy, fortunately it was enough as he immediately bought it.

I really don't understand what I'm feeling right now, this idea of him to come at a resort sounds fun... But why is it that I can't put a finger on to what I am being worried about?

When we both entered the car, the gates began to open as some of the butlers and maids who helped us with packing waved us good-byes and such.

Alex waved back as I only nodded in return with a smile.

In the middle of our road trip, Alex drove carefully while also separating his attention towards his GPS to make sure we don't get lost.

"Pretty impressive work you're doing there." I complimented him.

"Oh this? Pft, this is literally so easy you can practically do it yourself with just enough practice." He responded back.

I only chuckled, I had never considered myself as an option for driving, I was used to have someone to take me in a place where I needed to be.

I rested my elbow against the car window as I held my head with my hand, looking at the cars pass by us almost made me feel drowsy, I almost fell asleep but I fought the urge to do so, I didn't want Alex to feel all alone.

So with that, I had fixed my sitting position as I only looked directly at the car's front windshield.

After a while, I decided to think of a conversation to talk about with Alex.

"So, are there any possible surprises that awaits me on the resort? Something or maybe even someone? Like... I don't know, presumably father?" I asked Alex, I noticed his expression turned into a frown.

"Oh sorry little bro' as much as I'd want to plan that, I'm afraid father's out of the country right now, the last thing he said before he left was that he had to meet a lot of clients before he could return back home, so..." Alex only shrugged, it seems he was hurt when he said that.

"Okay... I guess that's understandable since we both know that father really wants to keep his business on top..." I chuckled.

"Yeah... Father isn't really the type to disappoint his customers." both of us laughed as we were certain about father's good behavior.

He had numerous ideas of proposals on how to end pretty much everything of the world's problem, possessing a great mind and wealth at the same time, father can make the impossible... Possible.

He even believes that violence never fixes anything and would be better if people approach problems in a "nice" manner.

I wonder how he'd react if he ever found out about my connection with the academy... Probably not good.

"Hey, Alex to Cleo!" Alex snapped his fingers right in front of me which caused me to return back to my senses.

"H-huh? Oh... Sorry." Alex snickered at my reaction.

"What's going on with you little bro'? Something running on your mind?" He asked with a concerned tone.

"N-no! Everything's okay, I am fine." I replied instantly hoping he won't get suspicious.

"Well... If you say so, come and help me unpack our things, we're already here!"

I had only realized that we were in front of the resort's entrance and with the car parked already.

When I got off the car, I noticed that there weren't plenty of vehicles near us which I found quite odd but ignored it nonetheless.

And it appears that Alex was right with not packing too much items, we were able to bring all of our stuffs inside the resort in such a short amount of time.

So far on this trip, everything is doing great... I don't notice anything wrong but it's better to always stay vigilant.

"Nothing can go possibly wrong with this trip."

Hopefully I didn't just jinx us.
