A loud thud erupted in the heart of the forest, a few miles away from the Rejuvenation Camp.
The loud vibration of the sound was then followed by an agonizing bellow that came from an incomprehensible entity, it could be seen having a physical form, but it is infused by a dark energy surrounding its entire body.
"You did it!" A young male exclaimed as he rushed towards his partner.
"Whatever! Just focus on the fight!" Both children stood strong together as the beast was regaining its consciousness and focus.
It roared loudly as it exhaled a hot shadowy steam out of its nose, without wasting anymore time, the beast charged the two males, preparing its horn and concentrated its aim as it was about to pierce one of them.
Both of the young men jumped on the last second, the green-haired boy propelled himself and landed exactly behind the beast, using his arms, he grabbed its tail and spun the demon around continuously until he gained the perfect momentum to throw it in the aligned trees near him.
The beast flew and knocked the trees one by one until it got slammed against a gigantic one that arose above all the other trees.
"Hahah! Yeah! Now that's what I'm talking about! What do you thi-" before the young man could finish his sentence, his partner quickly sprinted and used all the muscles and power he has on his legs and used it to ram on the beast's laying body.
He stood quickly as he watched the reaction of the beast barely being able to make a move nor a sound.
"Hey! I had that one taken care of!" His energetic green-haired friend came up to him but he barely cared about his whining.
"Your "taken care of" is not enough for the beast, it needs to be brought down aggressively!" The black-haired one replied, also in an aggressive manner.
A few minutes have passed and the two boys saw the beast not move an inch.
"Whew... At last, the beast is now in peace along with some of its kinds that are also dead!" The green-haired one exclaimed proudly but also in a stupid sounding tone.
"You're lucky I was able to save your stupid head! Next time you invite me to another of your dumb stake-outs I'm going to kick your sorry ass out of the camp!" Shouted the blue-haired angrily.
It was bad enough that they had to deal with a monstrosity like that at midnight, now he has to deal with a friend who always act first.
"Okay okay sorry! Geez, you're always such a hot-head, might I suggest coloring your hair blue? It might ease your head a bit since we know that blue is the color of ice! And also calm waters and such..." The young boy smiled at his unamused partner.
In just a moment's time, reinforcements arrived, a few high ranked cadets wrapped the defeated beast with a net rope big enough to hold its body.
The two young boys were soon faced with the commander of the camp.
"Cadet Alderitch, Cadet Claudius, I assume you both know that acting without any orders from your commanders is a big violation and requires punishment."
