(Y/N)'S POV:

"Well?"

Milo and Sweet came back from visiting the King. Sweet was looking down, avoiding eye contact. Milo marched past me. "The King is dead."

"Wha-"

A loud and low horn interrupted me. Atlantians around us were either sobbing or cursing in Atlantian.

The King.....he really is dead.

"What- like what happened?? How did he-"

"Because big-nose kicked him in the side causing an internal bleed!" He snapped at me.

I was taken aback. I stayed quiet, shocked that he snapped at me.

"What's ya problem? She was only askin' what happened." Cookie grumbled, taking my side.

Milo turned back around and saw that it was me.

"Oh...sorry (y/n)..." he sat down on a nearby boulder.

Sweet placed a soft hand on Milo's back. "So what're we gonna do?"

Milo looked up. "Excuse me?"

Sweet stood Milo up. "We followed you in, and we're gonna follow you out. It's your decision to do nothing or actually get up and do something."

Milo shooed Sweet away from him. He rolled his eyes. "Oh, right, my decision." He was stepping towards me while he talked. "I think we've all seen how my choices unfold." He held up a finger. "Let's review, shall we?"

Oi vey....

"I led a group of money-greedy vultures to find the greatest discovery known to MAN!" He started to yell. I don't like it when he yells. "Letting a kidnap and/or murder happen to the royal family..." He tossed his book back and forth in his hands. He then suddenly threw the book on the ground, right into a muddy puddle. "HAVE I LEFT ANYTHING OUT?!?!"

I stepped away from him. I've never seen him THIS angry. I accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh sorry-"

"It's alright." Vinny smiled. "I found your dad."

"Please, just Will." Dad said, stepping out from behind Vinny.

"Okay, well, I found Will, he says he wants to go home with you."

My eyes lit up. Really?? Are one of my parents really coming home?? Yes!!!

Sweet put a hand on his chin, thinking. "Well, you also set our campground on fire, and made us go down that deep hole."

Milo sighed in defeat. "Yes, thank you. Thank you very much for bringing that up." He sat back down.

Sweet looked at me, then grabbed the book from the muddy puddle. "Of course it's been my experience...." he sat down next to Milo. "...that when you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up."

"Where did ya hear that one?" Milo scoffed in disbelief.

Sweet smiled. "A fella by the name Thaddeus Thatch."

Milo stared at his crystal while listening to Sweet. When he heard his grandfather's name, he grasped his crystal hard and stood up. He walked past everyone, including me.

"Where are you going?" Audrey asked, putting her hands on her hips.

"I'm going after Rouke."

"Milo, that's crazy."

"It is crazy, but Milo invented crazy." I said, amused.

"I didn't say it was the smart thing, but it is the right thing." Milo said, not stopping.

Audrey groaned and made her way down the stairs. "Come on, we gotta make sure he doesn't hurt himself."

We all followed him, including my father, to the village. Everyone still looked depressed. It made my heart hurt.

Milo stared at my dad and nodded at him. I looked up at my dad, and he nodded back. "Dad, what-"

"Go with Milo and Audrey. They're showing the people how to use the Martags."

"But Dad, what are you-"

"Don't worry sweetheart, I'll be right behind you. I'm not leaving your side again."

Tears appeared in my eyes and I hugged him tight. He kissed the top of my head. "You'll be okay. I'll be okay. Go with Milo and Audrey, sweetie pie."

I cringed and laughed a bit, wiping my tears away. "Don't call me that."

He laughed as well and waved goodbye. I turned around, looking for Milo. What is Dad doing, I wonder. And what are Martags-

I looked up to see Audrey and Milo accidentally crashing a fish-shaped vehicle. I covered my mouth in worriness. "Oh my god, are you okay??" I ran over to them.

"Gently. G E N T L Y." Milo said, lightly tapping the glowing button and parking it easily.

Audrey crossed her arms. "Yeah yeah whatever."

I shook my head and let out a sigh of relief. A poke hit my shoulder. I turned around and there was Vinny. Vinny smiled up at me. "Oh, there you are (y/n). Do you know if there's anything sporty? Like a uhhhh tuna fish or something?"

I giggled. "Um." I thought about it and looked around. Wait. I turned back to Milo. "Wasn't there a barracuda-looking one in the forest?"

Milo looked up at me after helping Audrey up. "Uhhhhhhhhh, yeah, yeah! It was on the edge of the forest. Like by the place we caught fireflies."

I nodded and explained to Vinny where it was. I described the area, and that if he saw some random columns out of the ground, he went too far.

"Okay. Thank you very much, (y/n)." While passing by me, he laid a small peck on my cheek. I was taken aback and watched him leave, standing there like an idiot with my hand on my cheek. I could see in the corner of my eye that Milo was FUMING.

He cleared his throat. "Okay everyone. Grab a vehicle and get up to the skies. We have a Princess to save."
