Grace never did like Mischief Night.

She thought it was a little dumb and a scary version of April Fools. She never stayed in Beacon Hills long enough to know too much about it, but it was apparently Coach's favorite day of the year, and just so happens to also be his birthday.

She didn't do anything, but she knew Stiles did. Grace knew better than to ask what, she already knew what his reply would be. "A magician never reveals his secrets."

And she would reply, "Who are you? Harry Houdini?"

She knew this because she had already had this conversation with him the night before when he called her.

Stiles tried to make it a habit of calling her at random, to see what she was doing. He was curious to know what she did when he wasn't around, you know since he couldn't be the light of her life every hour of every day.

So, there she was, in his blue Jeep, looking for Scott. He had just pulled up on his green motorcycle next to two black ones. Grace knew who those belonged to and internally groaned.

Those twins were her best friends, but they were a pain in the butt. Their homicidal tendencies got her in trouble with Colbie and would get her in trouble with the pack she was trying to join. Though it didn't matter all too much about the pack situation, she just wanted their friendship and forgiveness for everything she had done.

Stiles jumped out of the Jeep and started pulling her toward the scene with the two omegas and alpha.

"This is kind of a change of pace for you guys," Stiles commented, hand sliding into Grace's easily. "Usually, you're just hurting, maiming, and killing."

"You need a pack," Aiden told Scott, almost entirely ignoring Stiles as Ethan shot a tiny smirk at Grace after seeing their intertwined hands. "We need an alpha."

"Yeah, absolutely not. That's hilarious, though," Stiles smiled sarcastically.

"You came to us for help, we helped," Ethan argued.

"You beat his face into a bloody pulp," Stiles pointed out, making Grace look away in shame. "That's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counterproductive."

"Why would I say yes?" Scott asked them.

"We add strength," Aiden explained. "We'd make you more powerful. There's no reason to say no."

"I can think of one," Isaac said, approaching the scene. "Like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we're not impaling them right now."

Auden looked up at him, fangs drawn, "You wanna try?" Isaac started to advance toward them, but Scott grabbed his wrist before anything could happen.

"Sorry, but they don't trust you," Scott shrugged at them, releasing Isaac. "And neither do I."
