"Boy, I swear to god, go home already!" Tamaki yells at Izuku, who desperately asks for more work to avoid going home. Izu gives him the puppy eyes and the kitty paws to convince him to let him stay a couple of hours more without pay.
His manager let out an exasperating sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose, his other hand on his side as well, while Izuku waited for a response.
"One hour of cleaning, and your out of here!" Tamaki yells. Izuku bows several times and thanks him before he rushes over to do his job.
As he starts cleaning the children's area, he looks outside the large windows and notices a group of people entering the building, and a familiar redhead catches his eyes. Izuku's face softens once he sees Kirishima open the door for his friends, and one of his friends just so happens to be Bakugou.
"Out of all the damn places you could eat at, you choose this place?" A girl with pink hair asked Kirishima as his brow raised in confusion.
"Yep! My mom says they have the best burgers!~" Kirishima replied with a toothy smile and squinted eyes. All his friends followed his idea when Izuku smiled at the window.
"Aight, we got it, spikes," Katsuki tells his best friend to dial it down as he rolls his eyes when standing in line behind his friends.
Izuku thought about going over to say hello to Kirishima and Katsuki. Still, his face tensed up when he thought about how embarrassing it must be to find a seventeen-year-old boy in an almost maid outfit dusting and mopping the floors. His face grew pink from the thought of embarrassing himself before he turned around and returned to what he was doing.
"So, the dance is coming up," The girl with pink hair said after she ordered what she wanted. The boy with black hair takes her place and starts to tell the worker his order.
"I know, and I still don't have a date!" Kirishima grunts in pain when the idea of the dance coming up makes him realize he doesn't have someone to spend the night dancing with.
"Don't get your panties in a ruffle," Katsuki expressed. "I'm sure someone will ask you...or not," he laughs at Kirishima's face when he says the last part, causing the redhead's sad face to turn offended ok.
"Oh, come on, Kiri. I'm sure someone is bound to ask you," The boy with the black raven hair said to Kirishima as he stepped aside and lets Katsuki order.
"It's less than a week away!" Kirishima complained. The girl and the raven head look at each other and sigh as they see their friend suffer for a date.
Katsuki pushes Kirishima toward the cashier before stepping away from the group to walk toward the soda fountain to get some Diet Coke. As he plops the lid on, in the distance, he happens to see a familiar greenhead in the children's area. Then he remembers the time his mother ordered takeout from WOS burgers and how that same boy brought it to his house. Is that the same boy who bought me my necklace? Katsuki thought to himself as he carried his number and soda cup toward the booth in the far right corner of the establishment.
Eventually, the rest of the group sat at the booth, and now all four were chit-chatting. Izuku saw his chance to run for the men's bathroom to start cleaning them for the customers, but it wasn't quick enough because Katsuki saw him. He got up without saying a word to his friends and went towards the restroom; when he opened the door, there Izuku was, trembling in fear after seeing Katsuki before him.
Izuku bent over and placed both his hands on his stomach before shuffling to the side to let Katsuki walk past him and use the stall, but the blonde walked over to the wall and leaned against it with his arms crossed, waiting for Izuku to look up.
Once Izuku did, he wanted to lower his head immediately, but Katsuki flicked his chin and made him stand straight. When they met each other's eyes, Izuku gulped at how pretty his red ruby eyes were; they were like bright red jewels twinkling in the light. He could get lost in his red seas.
"Did you need something?" Izuku asked to break the ice since neither spoke, only staring at the other.
Katsuki sighed before speaking. "Just for you to acknowledge my thanks for the necklace," He says with a soft smile, a smile he has yet to create. Even when he's with Kaminari, he doesn't smile like he is doing right now. Maybe because he doesn't know Izuku like he knows Kaminari?
"Gotcha," Izuku expressed. "Well, if there isn't anything else, excuse me," he said before grabbing his bucket and mop and leaving the restroom to head toward the back of the joint.
Katsuki puckered his lips before shoving his hands into his pockets to leave the restroom and head back toward the booth where his food was waiting for him. Meanwhile, Izuku puts the cleaning supplies into the janitor's closet and starts hyperventilating from how red-faced he is after noticing Katsuki's beautiful and unique eyes. He covered his face with his hands and slid down the wall into the floor, stunned by how such a pair of mysterious eyes made him feel wonders he hadn't unlocked before.
"Izuku, go home," Tamaki tells him as he comes across him in the break room. Izuku lowered his hands where you could see his eyes before he nodded and slowly got up from the floor.
Izuku changed out of his clothes, went over to the machine by the exit, clocked out, and left the premises in his usual baggy clothes with his bag hanging over his shoulder as he left through the backdoor. Will I ever see those piercing eyes again? Why am I thinking about his eyes? Izuku pondered as he slapped his forehead and smiled at himself as he made his way toward the bus stop.
