After a while, Katsuki showed Izuku where he wanted his free item. As they walked in, Izuku couldn't help but look around to see what stuff the store sold; the person at the counter gave them a warm smile as a welcome sign while Katsuki ignored her.

Katsuki branched off to look at what he wanted while Izu started to browse to get an idea of the place; the store had black wallpaper and bright white lights all around the small store. Shirts from different heavy metal bands, rock, and others, as well as gothic aesthetic, while on the other hand, charming and kawaii aesthetic; two extremes.

He found a keychain that spoke to him, a spread of delightful colors with a heavy meaning behind the eyes of the small black cat, written in yellow "To live is the rarest thing in the world," which Izu found rather interesting than odd, to tell you the truth. It resonated with him because of the shitty life he is living, so that's what made him grab the keychain for himself.

"Oi," Katsuki yells for Izu, who is still walking around the store to see if anything else catches his eye. He glances towards the boy as he looks over the counter before him to know where he's at.

Izu meets him at the counter and finds him holding a necklace with silver spikes surrounding it. He gave Katsuki an odd look but didn't dig further because of the little time he had to dick around; he also slid the worker the keychain and paid.

Katsuki walks out of the store with his bag, and Izu with his smaller bag. The blondie was about to say something, but Izu beat him.

"Now we're even. Thanks for tonight; I appreciate it, Bakugou," Izu said before waving him goodbye and walking toward his apartment, leaving the blond speechless.

Katsuki stood there, helpless, watching Izuku fade into the darkness. I didn't even get his name, Bakugou thought before heading in the opposite direction, tossing his skateboard onto the ground and riding home.

The next day, Katsuki stood outside Kaminari's house, tapping his foot on the ground with his arms crossed as he waited for his boyfriend to come out to walk with him. But for some reason, he stood there for fifteen minutes and didn't see movement in the house. Maybe he already left? Katsuki thought before bringing himself up to the door and ringing the doorbell.

The door soon opened to reveal his mother, and the look on her face when she saw Katsuki was pure anger and horror; he stepped back once, meeting her eye contact. He could feel a strange aura and tension between them but couldn't quite read her expressions. He knew Kaminari had told him about his parents finding out, but was it enough to make his parents stay away from Katsuki?

"Morning. I'm here to pick up your son," Katsuki clears his throat. The mother doesn't even bother to give him the time of day because she shut the door in his face.

Katsuki steps forward and repeatedly rings the doorbell again and again Kaminari's mother opens it. She glares at him before leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed, and her tongue cleaning her teeth.

"Denki isn't here, faggot," She appraises him, pushing her bangs away from her eyes to get a better look at him; her face was pure disgust written all over. "Now, leave,"

Katsuki wasn't surprised to hear the slurs, but it stung and made him more than angry. He wanted to barge in, go upstairs, lock Kaminari's door, and be with the boy he loved. But he couldn't do that, even if he wanted to, because there was no way he would push Kamianri's mother out of the way. He's not disrespectful to older women, let alone any women.

"Have a nice day..." Katsuki said to her before lowering his face and returning to the sidewalk. Not even two steps, and she slammed the door again.

Katsuki scoffed at the irate feeling he was in. He hated the fact that their relationship got a lot harder. But even so, he wasn't going to give up that easily. He looked over his shoulder and waited to see Kaminari's mother walk away from the windows to run for Kaminari's bedroom, climb up the tree, and get in his room using the window. And after he climbed up the tree and looked through the window, he saw no one. Katsuki sighed before hopping down the tree and skating back to his college to attend his regular classes.

Meanwhile, Izuku heads to work on the bus with a bruise on his cheek from last night's fight with his mother. He had the keychain dangling from his bag, and every time he felt sad or depressed or even a little bit suicidal, he'd look at the keychain and remind himself that he needed to wait a little longer to leave the wretched place he calls home
