Calamity - In which Lilian Venator is the only survivor in a car crash with her family. Everyone implies that it was a tragic accident and that she got lucky, but she has a feeling that's not all that happened that night.

Lilian Venator had a pretty good childhood in her books. She lived with her parents and her older brother in one of those common houses you'd find in any neighborhood in Beacon Hills. Everything was perfect. She had good grades. She had the best friend imaginable, Lydia Martin. She honestly couldn't think that anything, or anyone, could ruin her sophomore year.
That was of course before the accident. On January 9th, 2011 Lilian - or Lily - was in the backseat of her car talking to her brother who was merely older by 2 years. They were on their way back to Beacon Hills after the holidays when suddenly the car was propelled through the air, hitting trees on its way into the woods, Lily was thrown out of the car and knocked unconscious...atleast thats what she was told had happened.
