Chapter Three
Leah
I search through another rack of summer tops, critiquing each one as I go. Finding the perfect piece for the outfit I envision for my next round of Insta posts is essential. And so far, all of the tops I've found have been disappointing.
I sigh, moving on to the next set of options, hoping the one I'm looking for will magically appear. I need Colin to get here ASAP. He has a gift for these things. That man could find a bobby pin in the bottom of a makeup bin in less than a second. No, really, he's done it before. It was astounding.
Colin is like a bloodhound but for all things fashion. His keen eye is exactly what I need right now. And he's running late. My shoulders slump as I come up empty on yet another rack. Damn, it!
"What about this?" I look up to see Charlotte holding up a cute blouse that's almost the right shade.
Taking the top from her, I study it. It's cute and flowy, perfect for summer, but not quite what I need for my project. I add it to my purchase pile and renew my search for the elusive top again.
Just as I'm about to give up, I hear the sweet sound of my snarky best friend ring through the air. "Are you still looking for your outfit? Good lord, I thought you'd be done by the time I got here."
A wave of relief hits me as I see Colin standing in front of me. Thank goodness! "We were just waiting for you, oh wise fashion master."
Tessa and Charlotte burst into laughter at the look on Colin's face. "Okay, I know I'm a little late, but the sarcasm is not appreciated," he fires back. "I will accept the title of wise fashion master, though. Thank you." His snarky reply brings a smile to my face.
It feels like the four of us haven't done this in so long. I didn't realize how much I missed them until now. Charlotte has been in the honeymoon stage of marriage with Tessa's older brother, Jason, enjoying marital bliss. As she should. Tessa and her man, Levi, have been mending their relationship after a series of misunderstandings one summer almost ended them for good. They're finally in a good place, and I'm happy to see her find her spark again.
Colin is the only one I've seen regularly lately. Well, him and Landon. The thought of Landon instantly brings my attention to a certain part of my body. One that still aches from the sexathalon we had the other night. Dear lord, that man knows how to work a girl up.
The memories come rushing back, sending a jolt of electricity straight to my panties. The things he does are spiritual on a whole new level. I don't think I've been closer to heaven than when that man is inside of me. When he brings me to completion, it feels like I've been given angel wings. He leaves me deliriously satisfied, yet always craving more.
I bite my lip as another memory surfaces. Fuck, that man can get it. My body starts to heat at the naughty thoughts running through my mind. And just as I'm about to relive my favorite part, a voice cuts through the air.
"Whatcha dreaming about over there?"
I shake myself out of the memory to see Colin staring knowingly at me. "N-nothing," I lie.
"Mmhmm sure seemed like nothing. But maybe keep it in your pants until you get home. I love you, I do, but I don't need to see your O-face out in public."
A strangled sound gets caught in my throat as I slap Colin's shoulder. "I was not about to make my O-face!"
"But you were," he retorts.
