Chapter Thirty-Seven
Leah
I wake the next morning feeling incredible. Warmth surrounds me as sunshine dances through the windows. The weight of something hard rests over my waist and memories of last night flood my mind.
Landon and I at the club. Him getting hit on by that girl. The lack of anxiety I had at the ordeal because I knew he would do right by me. Us leaving and ending up back here.
The memories slowed to something deeper, more sensual as every bit of those last few hours was suddenly in the forefront of my mind. The way he held me during and after made me feel so...
I don't even have the words to describe it. Amazing. Wonderful. Incredible. Those don't come close to how he made me feel last night.
The way he made love to me slowly- that was mind-blowing. It was so sensual, so intimate. We shared bigger pieces of ourselves in those moments. Ones I'm sure are significant.
It almost makes me want to tell him those three little words.
But I want to make it special. I want the first time I say those words to have a lasting impact. He deserves that after all he's given me.
Just like that, an idea springs to my mind.
A smile spreads across my face as I start piecing together my plan. It's brilliant- the perfect way to tell him.
As I start imagining his reaction, I feel movement behind me. Landon makes a sleepy noise as he curls closer to my back, pulling me closer as he snuggles into my neck. He breathes deeply as he mumbles good morning.
I melt into his arms, letting his scent surround me. "Morning, handsome."
His cheeks twitch against my skin as I feel him smile. "How'd you sleep, babe?" he asks.
I stretch out, releasing a soft moan as I answer, "Amazing. You?"
Landon's big hands curl around my ribcage. "Perfect," he tells me, planting a gentle kiss on my cheek.
"It really was," I whisper, letting the memories from last night play through my mind once again.
"You mean the world to me, Leah," his voice cuts through the air, warming everything inside of me as he hugs me close. "I just want you to know that."
Tears prick my eyes and my heart skips a beat. "I know." I could feel it last night with everything he showed me, and I don't just mean the incredible sex.
Fighting back the rush of emotions his words evoked in me, I tell him quietly, "I feel the same about you."
Our eyes meet and in his, I see a wave of emotion flood through him. He leans down, connecting our lips in a meaningful kiss. A spark ignites between us and suddenly the kiss grows ravenous. We deepen our connection, finding that no matter how close we get, it still seems too far.
The space between us disappears and we fall back into the rhythm we found last night. Lips connect, hands intertwine, and hips roll. We make love just as we did last night and it's somehow even more incredible.
As Landon moves inside me, my only coherent thought is- I am so in love with him.
