Me-What the hell is going on?

Nix- Nothing is going on

Me-Clearly something is going on. But you just don't want to tell me. You completely ignored me at school today.

Nix-Oh.. I'm sorry

Im sorry is all that boy could say to me? Unbelievable, I thought you know things would be different after we kissed. But I guess not. I look down again at my phone cause I heard it buzz. There was Holden's name on my lockscreen. What did he want? I slide my finger to unlock my phone.

Holden-Hey

Me-Hey Whats up?

Why was he texting me? For the rest of the night Holden texted me. We mainly talked about school and just normal things.

I put my phone on my nightstand and just took in a long breathe.

Dear Journal,

I had my first kiss the other day, it was spectacular... No it was incredible. I don't know how to describe it. But once our lips touched I felt something alive inside of me. But I really do like him, actually quite a lot but sadly he doesn't feel the same. At least that's the vibe he is throwing at me. So Holden has come back into my life once again. I thought I would never have to see him again, but I was sure wrong. So Nix has rarely talked to me since well our kiss. I wonder whats going on?

Lyric

Well today is Wednesday and tomorrow is Thursday. So honestly I don't know if I am gonna go to the dance. I know its girl ask guy dance, I mean I could ask Nix but it's sort of last minute since the dance is in one day. I will ask him at school tomorrow I guess, the question is how do I ask him? Hmm.. I could just come up to him and just ask. Nothing to fancy wancy.

'' There's Nix, go ask him now!'' Nora said and pushed me to him. I walked hesitantly to him.

'' Oh hey Nix, Okay bye you two.'' Nora said awkwardly. I rolled my eyes at her weird actions, she walks backward giving me a thumbs up.

'' Nora is acting weird.'' Nixxon says and I agree. I was to occupied of how I was gonna ask him to the dance.

'' So hey you know how the dance is this Friday. Would you want to be my date to it?'' I ask Nix, he stares into his locker. Not saying anything, my heart began to sink like the titanic. Why was he so hesitantly to respond?

'' Um, I was already asked by Lilly, but we are just going as friends.'' Nix says. Yup there goes my heart, sinking like the freaking Titanic. I felt the big glacier hit the tar out of my soul.

'' Oh.'' I say to him and walk away. Once I saw he was out of my view I dashed to the restroom. I hid in the bathroom for all of 1st period. I couldn't believe him, I thought we may have had something. Why the hell would he go back to Lilly!

I left the restroom with puffy eyes and a red nose. But I honestly didn't care.

'' Lyric? Are you okay?'' I hear behind me, I turn to see who it is, and to my surprise its Holden.. Yay.

'' Ya, I am fine.'' I say rubbing the tears from my eyes. He walks closer to me.

'' No your not.'' Holden says and pulls me into his arms and hugs me. His arms muscles felt very securing. I couldn't help but let out more tears.

'' Thanks your really sweet.'' I say to him. I sort of didn't even think, I just let my words fly. '' Would you like to go to the dance with me?'' After I said it I was shocked I just asked him to the dance.

'' Of course, it would be my pleasure to be your date. I was honestly wondering when you were going to ask me.'' He laughs. I give a smile and get up.

'' Okay I will text you my address so you can pick me up at my house. See you then.'' I say and walk away from him. Maybe this for the best, going with Holden.
