"ME" The Story of Lyric Rayne

Swim Suit

The alarm goes off making a obnoxious sound that makes my ears want to bleed.

'' Ugh! No it can't be 6:30 already.'' I pull myself out of the covers but end up getting tangled up in the white cover. I make a big clash on the floor but I am able to  keep in my burrito of the  comfort squished in between my  arms. I crawl off the floor pulling the cover with me. I make it to the bathroom and brushing my teeth trying to keep my eyes open. I put on my makeup but I struggle to keep my comforter around my body.  Walking slowly to my closest to throw on some clothes.

I go to school, I seriously cant wake up at all. My eyes drag and i pinch my face to try to wake up the cells.

'' Come on Lyric!'' I say to myself but clearly it wasn't just to myself someone else overheard me talking to myself.

'' Talking to yourself Bludger?'' Man I really need to read up on this Aussie Slang.

'' Ya sorry, I am super tired.'' I tell Xavier who was wearing a surf tank top and shorts. We walk into class and I sit there holding my face up so I don't fall asleep in front of everywhere. Xavier keeps glancing over at me and I give him a half smile, while he winks at me. I seriously need coffee. I practically jump when the bell rings. I dash out searching for a soda machine to give me caffeine.

'' Hey, Why don't we skip school today and go to the beach, your practically falling asleep in class.'' I rubbed my eye for sure I have makeup smeared all over.

'' Skip school? I could get in trouble.'' I say and I know what he is going to say.

'' I thought you wanted to be rebellious.'' I roll my eyes and take his hand running out of the school to his car.

'' Alright buddy start the engine.'' I say to him and there he goes again giving me that smile.

We drive up to the beach but nobody is there only a man fishing on the other side of the beach.

'' Man I don't have a swim suit .'' I say as I take off my sandals carrying them in my right hand. I feel Xavier brushing  up against my shoulder.

'' Don't worry.'' We stop and look at the crashing blue water onto the sand. We glance over at each other. But he then pulls of his shirt, and I see the glorious structure of his abs. I try not to stare, but man it was hard. Next thing I know he picks me up from my legs throwing me over his shoulder.

'' Ahh.'' I scream and we go into the water and I get completely wet. He holds me up from my waist slowly bringing me into the water. I stare into the hazel eyes of his.

'' Im all wet now.'' I laugh at him and splash water into his tan face. Picking me up again he places his hands around my waist spinning me around. My casual white dress gets sopping wet and I know for sure he can see my underwear underneath it.

After swimming in the shark infested water, we got out. I really screamed cause I thought I saw a a shark but it was just seaweed. I really need to stop watching shark week.

I lay out on the beach in my wet dress. Xavier takes my hand interlocking our hands together.

'' I really need to get a swim suit, oh and caffeine.'' I say and we laugh as we get up and run to the closest store. I run,  grabbing the cheapest one buying it quickly and a can of soda.

'' I need to change into this.'' I say to Xavier as we walk out of the little store by the beach. We find a little bathroom.

'' Okay I will stand out here.'' I love a gentleman, but I hate what I am about to say.

'' Um.. I sort of need you to tie my swimsuit when I put it on. I don't want it falling down.'' I say and I felt so awkward asking him to come into the bathroom with me.

'' Oh ya sure.'' He says and we go in. I motion him to turn around.

'' Okay come on turn around, please don't look.'' Even though I didn't trust him, all guys are going to look. Its normal human nature I know. So I quickly take off my dress. I turn to look at him and yup told you so he looked.

'' Hey!!'' I yell at him, thank gosh I was just in my bra and underwear but still embarrassing.

'' I am so sorry.'' He says and looks away covering his eyes with his hands. I quickly throw off my bra and underwear putting on the swim suit.

'' Okay help me tie it now.'' I say and hold my boobs so the top doesn't drop. I know awkward as hell. He ties the back strings. I could feel the shakes of his fingers.

'' Thanks sorry that was sort of awkward.'' I say then laugh so it doesn't make it more weird. He chuckles but stops and looks at me deep into my eyes. Okay maybe I do want to kiss him, but what about Nix? Should I do that to him? But he did do it to me. I shake it off and stare back into Xavier's eyes. I slowly back up and I find myself leaning against the wall. My hands hold on the brick of the wall. He places his hands one right by my head and the other near my waist.

'' Can I kiss you?'' He asks me and I sort of giggle cause I don't think I have ever had someone ask me that. Well the only guy I have ever kissed is Nix.

'' Ya..'' I whisper.  He places his soft lips at first on top of mine. Then shoves them hastily pushing them. I feel my heart beating super fast I have no idea what to do. I still hold on to the wall, breathing in his breath. I have never ever been kissed like this. And I have to say it feels amazing. But everything is so soon put to an end when my phone begins to buzz in my backpack. I hear my ringtone goes off. We separate the tension between us.

'' One second. '' I say and he grabs my waist pushing me against him.

'' It can wait.'' I make a uh uh noise.

We leave the bathroom and I still have a crazy swarm of butterflies in my stomach. I seriously cant stop smiling. We walk on the beach again, Xavier returns smiles to me.

'' Would you be shocked if I told you that was my first kiss? I was shocked, is he serious that was his first kiss.

'' What? Seriously.. that was the best kiss I have had in a long time.'' He blushes and looks down at his feet. He is so cute but super shy.

I remembered the call on my phone and look at the caller.  I see Em's number with a voice mail. I open it to listen to it.

'' Lyric.. Lyric.. I don't know how to tell you this. But Nix has passed away. I am so sorry.''
