Hyunjin POVI drove home, thinking about what Felix was talking about last night. The images playing over and over in my mind. Then, I started to think about the future and how Felix would effect it. I sigh, waiting at a red light.
Soon, I reached my house. I parked my car in the garage and turned it off, grabbing my belongings and went inside. I put my stuff on the counter, except my cellphone, not caring to put them in their designated spots. I walked over to my room to rest on my bed, drowning into the soft material of the comforter and pillows.
Though, my peace and tranquility was disrupted my the ringing and buzzing of my phone in my pocket. I quickly reach into the hole and took out my phone, looking at the screen to see the caller ID. It was my mother, I didn't want to bother talking to her but I answered the call anyway.
"Hello, " I start off the conversation, holding the phone next to my right ear.
"Hyunjin, we are having a family gathering over dinner at 18:30 (6:30pm). It's important that you come, " She spoke, not caring to greet me back. I thought about what she said for a moment, letting out a heavy sigh.
"Okay, I'll be there, " I respond, my tone more serious than it was moments ago. I heard her hum at my reply, not long after that she hung up. I turn my phone off and set it down beside me, closing my eyes and continued with my thoughts.
After a few minutes being alone with my thoughts, I decided to take a short nap. One where I'm able to go on a walk after to ease my mind before I have to get ready for the family dinner in the evening. I set a alarm on my phone and plugged it in so it can charge, then I went to sleep.
I woke up later in the afternoon to my alarm, I looked at the clock on my phone and the time read 14:45 (3:20pm). It has been about three hours since I went to take a nap. I stretch out my arms, quietly groaning at the pain it gave. I stay still for a second, enjoying how good the stretch felt before I rubbed my eyes—getting used to the brightly filled room.
Resting my eyes, not wanting to get out of bed. Though, I had to eventually. With this, I got up and went to my bathroom. Turning on the light and looking in the mirror. I start running the sink water, splashing the cold water on my face then dried it off with a hand towel. The freezing temperature of the liquid washing away the drowsiness I had.
I start to fix up my hair, brushing out the messiness of hairs sticking out. Once I was done with that, I turn off the light and moved into my closet to choose out the outfit I was going to wear outside and to dinner. I chose a neutral toned flannel shirt paired with relaxed jeans. Looking in the tall mirror nearby my bed, fixing up my hair and outfit. I unplug and grab my phone from the nightstand, as well as my earbud case, then headed out of my room.
I put on some sneakers on my way out of my house. I went out the front door and front gate. I take out my earbuds and set them into my ears, going on my phone to connect them and start playing some soft and chill music as I go for a walk. Once I was done with that, I put my phone and earbud case into my front pockets. Starting to stroll down the sidewalk, pleased by the clear sky and cool breeze countering the hot temperature created by the exposed sun above.
After about fifteen minutes, I stop by a convenience store to grab a snack and something to drink. I got a couple Samgak Gimbap (triangular rice ball) along with a Strawberry flavoured Milkis (soda mixed with milk). I payed for what I picked out, sitting at the table in front of the large window next to the door. I unpacked my food and taking a few bites before opening my drink to refresh my mouth.
Finishing up my food, I throw away the packaging in the trashbin next to the table. I took my drink and left the store, continuing my walk for another ten minutes or so. I found a bench to sit at and rest, I open up my phone to scroll through social media for a bit while I finish up the last few sips of my drink.
There was nothing interesting I could find, so as an alternative I wanted to text Felix and see what he was doing.
On the phone
:Hyunjin
What are you doing rn?I waited for a few minutes for a response, but I was becoming impatient as time went by. To calm myself down, I told myself that he isn't always going to not be busy.
Felix:
I'm visiting my father, why?:Hyunjin
Oh. I'm just wondering. When do you think you will be back from visiting him?Felix:
Around 17:10 (5:10pm). Do you need something?:Hyunjin
Can I take you somewhere?Felix:
Sure, where to?:Hyunjin
It's a surprise.Felix:
Okay.
Read at 4:27pmI shut off my phone and set it aside. Replaying our conversation in my mind. I know that he only asked to be flings, but I loved him and wanted more than just sex. I wanted him to reciprocate these feelings, to spend the rest of my life with him and shower him with my love. It hurts to see him with someone else, especially with someone he doesn't love romantically.
I drank up the last few sips of my drink, crushing the bottle afterwards. I get up and went to a nearby trashbin to throw away the empty can. I finished up my walk until I decided it was time to go back home to pick up my car and drive to Felix's residence. I just hoped that this 'date' with Felix won't make me late for the family dinner.
