It's been one year since Jiuen's death
Everything has turned cold
Now In the living room Jungkook and Haneul were sitting on the floor books were scattered around Haneul was writing with pout on her face and jungkook was sitting while doing something in laptop
Haneul: KOOKIE
Jungkook: what happened haneul
Haneul: why we should study this when it's not going to help me in future
Jungkook stared at haneul
Jungkook: god haneul baby why are you like this
Haneul: what did I do
Jungkook: dear it's important for you to pass
Haneul: but not helpful for me in future
Jungkook: ok fine let's make deal if you finish your homework we will go for swim in Lake and
Haneul: and icecream
Jungkook chuckled
Jungkook: yeah sure but before that homework
Haneul: ok
Haneul started to do her homework and jungkook got call
Jungkook: hello , yes mr.choi what's the matter
Mr.choi: mr.jeon there is a annual business meeting and all of our shareholders are coming so taehyung sir's presence is needed
Jungkook: oh ok I will talk to him you arrange for meeting
Mr.choi: ok sir
Jungkook kept the phone aside and closed the laptop
Jungkook: haneul baby I will go and have an important talk with your dad till that time complete your homework and we can do what we have decided
Haneul: ok
Before jungkook go to taehyung, taehyung himself came
Taehyung: good morning haneul baby
Haneul: morning dad
Taehyung: Morning to you also jungkook
Taehyung looked down at haneul's sheepish grin
Taehyung: why the sheepish grin
Haneul: me and kookie are going to lake for swim and after that icecream party
Do you wanna join?
Jungkook pretended like he was reaching for his laptop as he felt Taehyung's eyes focus on him.
Taehyung: I thought jungkook was supposed to be getting his stuff ready at his new place
he said and Taehyung’s voice was light,but jungkook didn’t miss the slight edge of bewilderment in his voice.
Jungkook opened up his laptop
staring at the black screen with more intensity than was probably necessary as haneul replied
Haneul: jungkook says that’s a tomorrow problem
Taehyung:Really
Jungkook heard Taehyung walk around Haneul .
He kept his eyes on the black screen as he saw Taehyung move towards the coffee machine out of the corner of his eye.
Jungkook wondered from which day taehyung started to like drinking coffee
Jungkook can surely say while looking at taehyung's clothes that he has been working in the last two nights he became suspicions of what exactly Taehyung had been doing last night
But Taehyung moved as though he hadn’t been doing anything at all—as though he had just slept like everyone else, even though the fact that Taehyung was searching for espresso proved otherwise.
For a moment, the only sound that filled the kitchen was the loud grind of coffee beans in the machine—and then there was the steady drip of coffee into a mug.
Jungkook lifted his head from his laptop and watched taehyung take sip from coffee he saw it all with shocked face
But he got his sense back when he felt little hands on his cheeks
Haneul was standing infront him her Eyes slightly narrowed at jungkook
Haneul:Hello,
Haneul:Didn’t you tell me you were gonna get your swimsuit on first
Haneul twisted her lips into a sardonic smile.
Jungkook:Right I will bring it
Jungkook released a sigh. Scooping his laptop under his arm, he made to leave when Taehyung called after him
Taehyung:You don’t need to keep doing this, you know.
Jungkook turned around, but Taehyung wasn’t looking at him,He was still standing by the coffee machine,even though jungkook could tell that the coffee had already been fully empty in the mug. But jungkook wasn’t sure if he’d rather have taehyung turn around and look at him or stay turned away
Jungkook: Do what?
Jungkook asked, even though he knew what the answer was going to be. He had known the answer for a few weeks now. He had known because whenever jungkook came to the house, he got same answer Taehyung's smile only seemed to get wearier and jungkook hated that because he didn’t know why taehyung was doing this now, and when Jungkook had told jin, he had only told jungkook to give it time he hadn’t needed to clarify what it was.
Taehyung:We know you’re busy
Taehyung said, swiping the mug up. He still wasn’t looking at jungkook, even when he turned around to the kitchen island.
Taehyung:Work year. Moving. Embracing your new twenty something life. Fresh college graduate life. All that.
Jungkook:I don’t mind
Jungkook said,and he winced
He hated how that phrase sounded—I don’t mind,as though this was actually something he could mind about. He tried again.
Jungkook:I like being here
He wished Taehyung would look at him so he could tell that jungkook was sincere.
He wished Taehyung would atleast lift his head.But Taehyung kept his head bent over his mug, and jungkook kept still at the center of the kitchen, his arm still wrapped around his laptop.
Jungkook: haneul and I are going to be swimming
Jungkook said, even though he knew the answer ,He knew he didn’t even have to ask taehyung the next words, because taehyung knew them already, too.
Jungkook:Busy
Taehyung replied.
Jungkook watched Taehying's fingers wrap around the mug.
Taehyung: Have fun with haneul .
Taehyung still didn’t look at jungkook
Jungkook: you have meeting to attend and no you can't ignore it it's important all shareholders are coming
Taehyung: will you be there
Jungkook: no but jimin hyung and Yoongi hyung will be there
Taehyung: ok
After saying it he left the room
Jungkook’s fingers were stiff from holding onto his laptop so hard.
Jungkook noticed that taehyung as left his phone so he took it to return it
He kept the laptop in his laptop bag
And left to taehyung's room
When he reached the room he heard sobs from washroom
And he knew who was it
Jungkook decided to keep the phone on the bed and left the room.
