That weekend, Bucky had set up a sweet romantic spot in the backyard for him and Maggie.
"Bucky what is going on?" She said when she saw the orange roses and teal chocolate covered strawberries.
"Maggie I know things have been rough, we have had our fair share of ups and downs but I love you. And I will love this baby. Will you please marry me?" He said as he dropped to one knee.
"Oh Buck, yes." She said as she cried
They shared a kiss as he put the ring on her finger. They are strawberries and posted to social media that they were engaged. Their friends were shocked and worried that he made a big mistake given their history.
Meanwhile across town at the mall, Aubri was taking a break at the food court when she was short $5 at Taco Bell. A male voice behind her said
"I've got it."
She saw a tall blonde step from behind her and lay a $5 dollar bill on the counter.
"I'll pay you back Friday when I get paid." She said when she saw his Dick's Sporting Goods Polo.
"No need dollface." He said
She smiled, and got her food. He joined her at her table after getting his sub at Firehouse.
"Jax." He said
"What?" She said
"You never asked my name but it is Jax." He said
"Aubri, sorry my mind has been frazzled." She said
He smirked, "What could a beautiful girl like you be frazzled about?" He said
She looked down, "Lots of things." She said
He placed his hand over hers, "Tell me about it." He said
She spilled to him, and he couldn't believe that someone could hurt a beautiful girl like her. They walked back to their stores and exchanged numbers. That night after their shifts he walked her to her dad's car who was waiting. Jax asked her on her date and kissed her cheek when she said yes.
