2 months later,

"Hey Buck.." Maggie said as she joined Bucky in the shower. 

"Hey Mags.." he said as he washed his hair. 

"You are mad at me?" She said 

"Mags, you missed parent night at Whitley's dance studio." He said 

"There will be another parent night." She said 

"That's not the point Margaret! I get that Taylor is your best friend but going out for her birthday over your daughter is where I draw the line. I'm glad you are pregnant cause at least then I know I don't have to worry about you drinking." He said as he turned off the water. 

"Why is me going out with my friends such a problem for you?!" She said as he stepped out of the shower. 

"It's a problem Margaret cause you don't know how to grow up!" He said as he wrapped a towel around him. 

"How dare you?!" She said 

"Truth hurts baby.." he said as he walked out of the bathroom

He finished getting ready for work and took Whitley to his parents. He was zoned out the rest of the day. And that night he slept at the fire house, his dad and brothers found him there the next morning. 

"Bro, you have a house." Bennett said 

"Why are you here?" Bryce said 

Bucky just brushed them all off, later that day James found Bucky sitting in the locker area. 

He tapped his leg as he sat beside him, knocking Bucky out of his thoughts.

"Hey son..you ok?" James said 

"Yeah.." he said 

"You've been zoning out a lot and Whitley said you two have been fighting again." James said 

Bucky looked down. 

"Look son I know that you and Maggie have always had some issues. But I'm so proud of you for stepping up since you were 17 and doing your best to take care of your family. I know marriage isn't easy but I'm proud of you for sticking with it." James said 

Bucky felt tears welling as he squeezed the bench he was sitting on till his knuckles were white. James hugged him then left, after he was gone Bucky let the tears go.
