1 month later,
Aubri got up early on a Sunday morning, she got the kids up and dressed for church. Her parents texted her the name of the church they now attend. She met her family in the parking lot of the church.
"It's beautiful." She said
"It is, we love it here." Patricia said as they all went inside.
Edith Barnes walked up to them, "Patricia and Harold lovely to see you this morning."
"Thank you Edith, we have some new people with us. This is our youngest daughter Aubri and her two kids Keely and Brody." Patricia said
"Ah, it finally happened." Edith said
"I can show them to their classrooms." Winnie said as she joined her mother in law.
"Thank you." Patricia said
"Not a problem Patty." Winnie said
Winnie dropped off Brody to the kindergarten classroom that was taught by her daughter in law Holly. He immediately got excited seeing some kids from school. She walked Keely down to the youth room.
"Sorry interrupt James and Gabriella, we got a new one this morning." Winnie said
Keely walked in, and Callum went red seeing her all dressed up.
"You can sit next to Cal Keely." Gabi said
She sat down next to him, and he whispered "you look beautiful."
She smiled at him, "Thank you." She whispered back as Gabi and Bucky began to teach the class.
Aubri joined the young adult class with her siblings, and felt at home at the church. When Sunday school was over they all went to the sanctuary. After the choir opened up the service and offertory was done.
Bucky joined his siblings on stage, and they began to play the beginning notes of the song they chose as a special that day.
"Your uncle plays?" Keely whispered
"Yup, he is who taught me how to play." Callum whispered
Bucky began to sing "Cry Out to Jesus" by Third Day, the second verse all strikes a nerve and brings tears to his eyes. But the last verse hit Aubri right in the heart as it talked about being a widow.
Keely wiped a few tears herself, as Callum squeezed her hand. After the song was over James Barnes Sr walked up to the podium.
"That's my grandpa.." Callum said
"Wow..this is your family's church." She said
"Yup." He said
After the service was over, Aubri found Bucky.
"Hi.." she said
"Hi.." he said
"I loved your song." She said
"Thank you. It's one of my favorites for personal reasons." He said
She smiled at him, "It's now mine. I guess I'll see you around." She said
"See you around" he said as she left with her kids.
