(35) Zane's Tantrum

1 month later,

"Don't forget Zane you ride the bus to momma's today." Bucky said as he sipped his coffee as the kids made breakfast. 

"No daddy please no..please don't make me go." Zane said as he began to cry. 

"Zane we do this every Friday son, you have to go to your mothers." Bucky said as he squatted down beside his chair.

"Please daddy, I don't like it there daddy." As he cried more. 

"Zane.." Bucky said 

Whitley came in and sat beside her brother. "Whitley what goes on at your mother's?" Bucky said 

"We don't really stay with mom. She drops us off at granny's on Saturday nights that's why you pick us up there on Sunday mornings. It's granny and pops that take me to my games on Friday nights unless I ride with someone else." She said as she ate her French toast. 

"Daddy please don't make me go. I don't want to go! I hate mama's house!" Zane said as he stormed off. 

Bucky let out a sigh, "Finish up Whit." He said 

After he dropped the kids off at their schools he called Gabi, 

"Good morning little bro what's up?" Gabi said 

"What do I do Gabi?" He said as he had his phone on blue tooth as he drove. 

"What happened?" She said 

"Zane, he has cried all morning screaming at me he doesn't want to go Maggie's. Whitley informed me that she doesn't even spend time with them really. They spend most of their time at Maggie's parents." He said 

"James I don't know what to tell you. But if he is acting like this every Friday and giving you this much trouble I wouldn't make him go somewhere he doesn't want to go. Yes by the court he is suppose to but he is a kid and he doesn't understand all that." Gabi said 

"Yeah.." Bucky said 

"But you keep forcing him he is eventually going to hate you." Gabi said 

Bucky was at a light as he looked down. 

"I just hate this Gabi I thought that she would grow up now more than ever be a parent. But even Whit said she doesn't come to her games. We all know she doesn't come to Zane's games either." He said 

"Some people just don't know how to be a parent James. And to be honest her parents are partly to blame they never reined her in. They just let her go and do whatever she wanted she never had consequences even when she got pregnant with Whitley." Gabi said 

"Yeah..I guess I'm gonna get off here Gabi, thanks for the talk." He said 

"Welcome. You know I'm always here little bro!" She said 

They hung up, Bucky called his parents to let them what was going on. After he finished that phone call he called the school told them to put Zane on the bus that takes him to his parents. He also called his sister in law Alice to pick up Keely and take her to her game. 

That night after Bucky got everyone home, and he went to bed. It didn't take long before Zane snuck into his bedroom and climbed in his bed. He snuggled up next to Bucky and went to sleep like he does every night.
