The Monster Within Me

Chapter 7: Responsibility

"No." She said plainly. "I'll take you home with me and I'll patch up your wound." Sakura said, smiling. The boy let a tear fall as Sakura carried him to the hideout. 'But I'm a monster.' The boy thought.

Sakura reached the hideout with the kid passed out on her back. She set him down on the sofa in the living room and tore off his shirt, only to see a deep wound. Sakura ignored all the blood and healed him. She wiped off the excess blood and wrote something down a piece of paper. "Touch him or die. ^_^ love, Sakura." She sticked the note by the boy and went to the kitchen and started making breakfast.

An hour later she heard footsteps coming her way. "Breakfast is ready." Sakura said smiling as she turned only to see team taka with their weapons at hand. "I thought we were under attack." Suigetsu said, grinning awkwardly and scratching the back of his head.

"I thought so too because of the unfamiliar chakra and pots clashing to each other." Jugo said, talking a sit, with his eyes closed. Sakura spotted Kabuto poking the boy as if he's an unfamiliar creature. "Oi! Kabuto! Stop poking him and eat!" Sakura said, twitching with her arms crossed over her chest. "Hai hai." He said, smiling brightly.

Sasuke silently took a sit and started eating. "Sasuke-kun~ ohayo~!" A high pitched voice said. "Woah! Forehead girl can cook." Karin said, smirking as she pushed the bowl off the table. "Oops my hand slipped." Karin said, smirking.

Sakura simply ignored her as she readied three trays of food. "You clean that up." Sakura simply said as she started walking out. She placed one tray of food on the coffee table by the sofa where the boy is and went to her uncle.

She knocked thrice and heard a come in. "Ohayo, jii-san." Sakura said, smiling. "Ohayo, Ssssakura-chan." Orochimaru said, smiling. "What are you doing here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'm going to eat with you of course!" Sakura said, happily.

She handed him his food and sat down on a chair beside him, eating as well. "He'ssss your resssponsibility, alright, Sakura-chan?" Orochimaru suddenly said. Sakura looked up at him with an eyebrow raised. "Who?" She asked. Orochimaru smiled and said "The kid that you brought a few minutesss ago, dear." "You knew?!" Sakura asked in shock.

"I'm a sssannin, of courssse I would know." Orochimaru said, smiling. Sakura settled down with a pout on her face. "I'll allow him to sssstay, as long as you take care of him. Now off you go deary, hisss awake and Team Taka is sssuspicious of him." Orochimaru said, shooing Sakura off with a smile on his face.

Sakura pouted and stood up. "I'll see you later, jii-san." She said, walking towards the livingroom. She entered and saw the kid and team Taka staring at each other suspiciously with Kabuto eating his breakfast calmly with a smile on his face.
