Chapter 19: Boring Mission

One of the ninjas took a hold of his katana and attacked Sakura. Itachi took his own kunai and blocked the katana. Sakura thanked Itachi and sent a ninja a few trees back. A few minutes later, all the attackers laid unmoving infront of Sakura and Itachi. Their client a few feet back. "Shall we get going?" Sakura asked, smiling. Their client nodded as they continued on their merry way.

Upon reaching their destination, the hooded client gave of a silent laugh periodically turning to a sinister laugh, making his escorts look at him. "Commence the attack!" He shouted. Few moments of laughing by himself later, no attacks came, making him stop and look dumbfounded.

"There were a lot." A voice said. Sakura turned and saw a bloody Kabuto smiling as he walked towards them. "You're the last one." Sakura said, turning to the guy with a sinister smile on her face. The guy looked at them in fear and ran towards the forest. Itachi suddenly appeared in front of the guy and pointed the kunai on his neck. "Where's our real client?" Itachi asked monotonously. "I-in the next town. I-in an abandoned buildin--!" The guy was cut off when Itachi slashed his neck with the kunai.

'Brutal.' Sakura thought, twitching. "Hurry now, or Pein-kun will kill all of us." Kabuto said, smiling as he lead the way to the next town. A few minutes later, they reached the building, only to see another robed guy. Itachi pulled out a kunai but Kabuto stopped him as he took a step in front. "Would you happen to know where our client is?" He asked, smiling.

He frowned when the guy threw a shuriken at him. Kabuto dodged as the guy formed hand signs. With this chakra scalpels formed on his hands. Kabuto ran full speed toward the guy. The guy formed his own handsigns, but these handsigns seems all too familiar. "Kuchiyose no jutsu!" The guy shouted. Smoke formed and a large silhouette can be seen. "Oh my." Kabuto said, smirking as a large blue bear appeared before them.

The guy ran away, leaving the bear behind. Kabuto was about to run to cut it into pieces, but a certain pink haired lady beat him to it. "Get out of the way, shanaro!" Sakura shouted as she punched the bear with chakra filled fist, sending the bear flying off a few meters from them. The bear was knocked out and disappeared with a puff of smoke.

The three ran into the building and came upon a horrid scene. Their client strapped into a cross with shurikens and kunais embedded on him. "Kai." Itachi said monotonously as the genjutsu was lifted. "F**k." Someone said as he saw Itachi. "Looky here, the Akatsuki came to protect you." A thug-like guy said, as he held the fainted client in place with a kunai pointed at his neck.

"Make one wrong move and your client here dies." The thug said, eyeing Itachi. But his mistake was that he looked directly into Itachi's eyes. Itachi took this chance and trapped the guy into a horrible and painful genjutsu. "Let's go back." Itachi said. Kabuto sighed and carried their client over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "Such a boring mission." He said.

They ran towards the nearest inn and left the client there. "Why are we leaving the client here?" Sakura asked. "The mission was to get rid of the assassins and protect the client, my dear Sakura-chan. Right, Itachi-kun?" Kabuto said, smiling. "Hn." Itachi answered, walking out with the two hot on his trails.

A few hours of running later, the three got back to the base. They reported and went to their own rooms. "Welcome back, Sakura-nee." Koori said, grinning. "So how was that chakra control?" Sakura asked. "No good." Koori said, pouting.

"Come." Sakura said, walking towards the trainung grounds with Koori hot on her trails. "What are we going to do, Sakura-nee?" Koori asked. "Walk on trees." Sakura said, grinning as Koori looked at her weirdly.
