I was agonized due to the image I saw yesterday in the park, but that couldn't stop me from visiting again.

I was writing again, waiting for him. While she was already there beside me.
I felt an indistinguishable emotion for this girl, I couldn't identify it at all. It was strange. Really strange.

I shrugged off the thoughts and went back to writing.

Since that day, the fifth day of that autumn, Jacinth and Yasmine's story took a turn. It was no longer a single sided admiration. Their eyes always talked to the others' despite their mouths never speaking a word.

It was something magical, euphoric.

One more day passed as such, with no words, only the intimacy of eyes.

On the seventh day, Jacinth lost his patience. He was more than just keen to hear the voice of Yasmine. He wanted to talk to her for hours and hours together. Yasmine, though never slightly expressing her desperation, was just as keen as him. Although that wasn't possible because they both worked during the day, and only visited the garden at night.

And those nights of loneliness in the wordless presence of each other were unreal. No one would believe that a stranger's presence could bring such comfort.

But for Jacinth and Yasmine, it did.

Saturday it was, the night chilly. The leaves rustling. The sky covered in clouds. It was going to rain.

The lightening also made thundering noises but that didn't stop Jacinth's desperation. Neither did it halt Yasmine's euphoric emotions. They were head over heels for someone they never talked to. It was strange, nonetheless; it was real.

And to his utter surprise, Yasmine was sitting there, completely unbothered by the weather. She was focused on her notebook, drawing. And he'd be lying if he said that didn't make his heart race, if that didn't make him love her more.

And Yasmine saw him through her peripheral vision, and was giddy inside that he came.

He crept slowly beside her. That day, he didn't bring anything as an excuse to stay there longer. He knew he just wanted to talk to her and that's it.

"Yasmine?" he asked.

"Oh you're here," she looked at him and added, "I didn't think you'd come today. It's going to rain."

"I thought you wouldn't come. But the little hope made my feet rush here," he admitted.

"You've got a nice voice," she complimented making his cheeks flush red.

"Yours is really sweet," he responded.

"There's no need for flattery Jacinth. You're my artist friend," she patted his shoulder lightly and he was aghast.

His face totally red now and his mind a mess.

He knew he liked her but he never knew that the magnitude of that feeling was so high.

And she was doing a great job at hiding her racing heart.

What got into him next was maybe a demon because his next words weren't something he decided to say so soon.

"I like you Yasmine, ever since I first saw you," he confessed taking both of them by surprise.

And as if the nature was following them, the rain started pouring. It wasn't a light rain. They weren't even unsheltered for a whole minute but got drenched.

"Let's go somewhere," Yasmine broke their awkward atmosphere and took his hand and her notebook. They started running towards a shelter.

"That was random Jacinth. But I already knew it," she said as they reached a sheltered bench area in the garden.

"You already knew that I- like you?" he asked completely embarassed.

"Yes, because I do too," that was all she said before complete silence took over them. Both analysing the situation and stealing glances at each other; shyly.
The shyness and the stealing of glances kept flowing for quite some time until the rain stopped.

Jacinth and Yasmine were staring at the sky together, where the clouds slowly parted giving way to the moon and the stars to showcase their decorated home.

Stargazing was something that always meant a lot to Jacinth, he went stargazing with his family, sometimes with his friends too, but those were unserious moments. This was something else, his insides were burning flames while his body was cold due to the rain.

For Yasmine, stargazing was something she'd always dreamt of, with her lover.

And she was having it, but there wasn't acceptance.

The two parted ways bidding each other farewell and taking herself by surprise, Yasmine hugged him.

All night long, the pair kept thinking of each others' confessions. Their thoughts were revolving around each other.

The next day passed quickly as they wanted it to, the night fell and the two met.

This time, none of them brought anything. They were there to meet up, empty handed, full hearted.

"Hey," said Yasmine reluctantly.

"Hi, how are you? Did you catch a cold yesterday?" Jacinth worriedly asked.

"I'm all good. How about you?" she responded.

"I'm fine too," he said as they both sat down on the grass.

"About yesterday -" he was about to speak when Yasmine cut him off.

"You confessed. I did too," he said in a low voice, fidgeting her fingers.

"Yes, so what now?" he asked in a similar low tone.

"Typically when people like each other, they date. I don't know how you do it though," she remarked cheekily.

"I'd also like that. I don't know about you though," he responded with the same energy.

And for a good long while they kept staring at each other, both of them thinking of the same thing, yet none made a move.

Out of the blue; Jacinth found boldness in himself and said fuck it in his head and went for it.

His gaze switched between her eyes and her lips, contemplating his momentary confidence.

She maintained eye contact and that boosted him. He leaned closer and closer until their lips met.

Both of them had their eyes closed, holding each other delicately. His hands on her waist and hers in his hair. Their lips moving in sync; heating up in the moment.

Then his lips parted and he drove his tongue into her mouth. She didn't hesitate for a moment and soon they were french kissing the life out of each other. The delicate kiss soon turned into a heated, passionate and slightly rough kiss. But love was evident in every breath.

They parted; panting. As soon as their eyes met, they began laughing.

"You're my girlfriend now," he confidently said.

"Yes," she beamed at him.

And on they went talking for hours, forgetting that they have work to do in the morning.

But when it's about blossoming love; little sacrifices as such are acceptable.

I held my head up after finishing writing and my eyes met with him.

For the first time ever, he looked at me. Not at the girl beside me, but me.
