Chapter 19

Feeling my phone vibrating in my backpack I took a quick look at the caller id before picking it up.

"Hello, Carolyne."

"Hello Mia, where are you?"

I looked over to Nathan, smiling to myself.

"Mia are you still there?"

"O sorry, yes, got a bit distracted"

"By what? Where are you?"

"We are still at the gym. Nathan is almost done with his training."

"Oh, let me guess your busy eye candying him."

"Of course, I am."

"You two are quite something."

"Uhuh... aren't you busy with your shoot today?"

"Yeah, we're having a break right now. Just wanted to know how things are over there, but looks like you're enjoying yourself?"

"Oh yes, I am." I nodded my head dramatically.

"Good, good I will see you tonight?"

"Why? What's happening tonight."

"Oh Mia, we have four years to catch up on. Oooo I know let's go play paintball."

"Sounds good, see you tonight. Bye"

"Okay, bye." She sang over the phone

"Hey, there sweet lady."

I looked up seeing one of the other fighters in front of me. I did not like the weird way he was looking at me, and the arrogant look on his face. With a frown on my face, I looked away towards Nathan, ignoring the guy in front of me.

James and Nathan were deep in a conversation not noticing the guy in front of me.

"What's your name sweetheart."

"None of your business!"

"Oh, what a feisty one you are."

I stood up wanting to walk towards Nathan, but the jackass pressed me against the wall locking me in with his arm. He gives me a self-satisfied smile. I tilt my head to the side smiling back at him. I kneed him in the groin then uppercut punched him on the nose. He fell sideways while holding onto his crotch, blood spilling out of his nose. I looked down at him then climbed over him and walked towards Nathan. Nathan walked towards me looking as if he wants to rip the guy's head off.

He stops in front of me taking me by the arms, looking me up and down. "Are you okay?"

I looked at him confused. "Yeah of course. Are you done yet? I haven't had anything to eat. I am starving."

He shakes his head, looking at me with a wide grin. James came over while laughing "Amore, you are something. Please remind me never to mess with you." He looked around me towards the guy still laying on the floor. "It looks like you kneed David's ding dong right through to his ass. HAHAHAHA. I thought Nathan was going to explode when David blocked you from walking to us... but then you go and do that HAHAHA." He pointed at David while bending over from the laughter, slapping his knees while laughing. "Classic!"

Nathan shakes his head. "We are done, I'll go get a quick shower then we can head out. James will accompany you until I get back." He glared over at James.

"Yeah, yeah. Just be quick."

Nathan left leaving me with James.

I looked at James who was grinning at me from ear to ear... O no... I give an inner sigh.

"Amore?"

"Yes, James?" I looked at him puzzled.

"What are we doing tonight?"

I lift my eyebrow at him.

"WE??" I pointed my finger between him and me.

"Yes! Me, you, Nathan, and your friends, with friends I mean girls..."

"My friend wants to go play paintball tonight, since Nathan seems to be joined at my hip, I assume he will be joining us and by the look on your face, you also want to come?"

"You bet your..."

I raised my finger up at him, "You need to watch your language, James."

He raised his hands, "Sorry, Sorry! Yes, I would like that."

"Fine, I let Nathan in form you about the time and the whereabouts."

James and I continued chatting until Nathan showed up, freshly showed, dressed in shorts, a white T-shirt, and sneakers.

We walked out towards the coffee shop quickly getting something to eat and drink. Time quickly past and it was already afternoon. Nathan and I went home for me to freshen up before we go over to Dr. Martin's.
