"WHY'D YOU COME WITH US?" NATSU'S QUESTION RANG IN THE AIR as he groans from his spot inside the carriage. Zara was sitting beside him, the way she always did, eyes glued out the window. She wasn't sure why the scenery always lulled her, but any time she found herself traveling, she'd glue herself to the window so she could get a good look at the world passing her by.
She didn't mind that Lucy had joined them, not really. She still didn't really know her, nor did she know anything about how helpful she'd be in a fight, but there was worse company.
"I thought maybe I could help." Lucy replies as Natsu groans again, Zara sighing quietly. She really did feel bad about how motion sick Natsu got, her Force of Life wasn't quite strong enough to heal him in this aspect, so far it only worked for mental scars, things like trauma, and outward wounds and bruises. Whatever triggered Natsu's sickness was well out of the scope of her abilities. Maybe someday she'd be strong enough for that to no longer be the case.
"Wow, you really do have a serious case of motion sickness, don't you?" Lucy questions. "It's just another reason to feel sorry for you." she murmurs, hands holding her face as she rocked from side to side, Zara and Natsu both turning to her. Zara's eyebrow raises, a cross look washing over her face as Lucy meets her gaze, and seems to recognize her mistake.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Natsu asks, clearly offended by Lucy's words.
"Oh, nothing. Forget I said anything!" Lucy reassures, recalling Mirajane's words from earlier. She'd learned a great deal about her new friends and despite how hard she tried not to, she did feel sorry for the both of them.
"Just because we're members of Fairy Tail, it doesn't mean we don't have our own personal issues. We've all had our fair share of suffering and loss." Mira continues as Lucy looks down at the wood of the bar. "Many years ago, Natsu's father left and never came back." Mirajane explains as Lucy gasps at the news, her heart full of sadness.
