The mall📍

"Darrian you sure you ok," Mercedes asked

"Yes for the 100th time Mercedes I can't cry anymore DD has made his choice and I'll just have to deal with it," I said blankly

We made our way to the food court to get my favorite Auntie Anne's cinnamon sugar pretzel it's all I've been craving lately. we waited in line until we finally reached the front counter it only took a couple of minutes but I was so hungry it felt like hours.

"Welcome to Auntie Anne's what can I get you? oh hey Darrian"

"Hey J.T what's up," I said shyly

"Did you ever hear back from D?" he asked

I was kinda hesitant on telling him I really don't want to tell anyone DD left me with the baby its kinda embarrassing.but I just answered the best way I could without giving away too much information

"Yeah um he's ok he won't be back for school and we broke up"

"Oh damn ok well since you going through that how about your pretzel on me today," J.T said and smiled

"Thank you" I replied

"And what about me," Mercedes asked cheerfully

"Oh right yours is 5.29," he said

"Boy here," Mercedes said with attitude and passed him her card.

We got our pretzels and found a seat at the food court. It was pretty packed and there were a lot of familiar faces from school. it was so unsettling still getting looks from other students I was in deep thought about it but I was interrupted by Mercedes with her shenanigans.

"So"

"So what"?

"J.T"

"What about him Mercedes" I questioned

"He's so into you bestie he was flirting so hard and gave you a free pretzel he basically proposed"

I laughed "No I don't think so he's just being nice and I mean I did give him that sob story he probably just feels bad"

"Well I think he likes you and it's about time you move on to someone else"

"Mercedes relax it's been a few days and if DD finds out I'm with someone else while I'm carrying his baby who knows what he might do"

"Who cares DD has made his choice remember? So you just gone wait till the baby gets here to prove DD wrong and get back with him"?

"Is that wrong?" I asked

"Um hell yes I don't  think you quite remember what happened bestie he accused you of cheating and denied your child if it was up to me he would never see his kid and child support would be filed as soon as the baby was out of the womb"

"Well it's not his fault Blu got into his ear and messed with his head he's only doing this cause of him"

"No darrain why do you keep making excuses for him he's 18 technically an adult he's doing this cause he wants to he's hurting you at your most vulnerable time and he doesn't care"

I took a moment to soak in all the things she said. this is why I love Mercedes she knows all the things to say.

"Ugh I hate it when you're right" I laughed and rolled my eyes.

She laughed, smacked my shoulder, and finished off her pretz...

"Now that I think of it he is pretty cute and he is a baller," I said all happy and  bubbly

"Right friend," Mercedes said in agreeance

"But do you think he knows about the baby? I mean not everybody wants to play stepdaddy" I asked

"Of course Darrian who doesn't know? plus I heard pregnant pussy the best"

"Mercedes I'm a boy" I reminded her

"My bad bestie pregnant bussy"

We cleared our tables and put our trash away we decided to do a little more shopping it was mostly Mercedes though . I sat back and watched an just agreed on how cute her outfits would be when she wore them to school.

After leaving the mall we went into the parking lot where my car was parked.we literally had to stuff my backseat full of shopping bags thanks to Mercedes.

"I think that's all of it," I said tiredly barely getting the door to close

I was about to get in the car when I heard my name being called

"Darrian"! I heard

I looked around the large lot to see who it was.

"Darrin"! I heard again

I was finally able to see it was

"J.T. hi what's up"? I asked him

"My bad for screaming your name like that I just wanted to catch you before you left I was wondering if you're not too busy maybe we could hang some time I'm kinda going through some similar things like you and was thinking we could talk about it be each other muse you know"

"Um sure that sounds great here's my number just text me sometime"

"For sure," he said smiling

"Bae"! I heard

This time I knew exactly who this was he parked right beside my car and got out with that menacing little smile

"Bae where have you been you look like you getting bigger I like it, baby," Blu said

"Fuck you Blu you ruined my life and my child's life and why would you tell DD all that bullshit he's back on the streets cause of you"?

"He needed to hear that it's true and why do you still care about him he clearly doesn't care about you I mean you would be with him right now and not this lame-ass white dude," he said as he pointed to J.T

"Yo, what the fuck is yo problem"? J.T responded and bucked up to BlU

"If you still want your life I advise you to stay where you at," BLU said and pulled up his shirt to show his gun in his waistband

"J.T no don't get involved he's here for me," I said and held him back from Blu

"You know Darrian you know how to pick em one broke nigga to another one for real this pretzel-making ass nigga? when I've been here all along for you and you just passed me up every time," Blu said

"Cause he don't want your ass" I heard Mercedes say from the car

Hush! "Mercedes I got it. Look BLU I don't know how to say this nicely cause I said it too many times me and you will never ever be. I could never love you not even with the money that comes with you. you're a liar your manipulative and I hate you from the bottom of my heart. you ruined my life and my relationship with someone I thought I could spend the rest of my life with. From now on I would appreciate it if you just stay the fuck away from me"

"Alright darrain I won't argue but sooner or later your gonna need me I'll be here just to show you that I'm the one you can depend on" With that, he walked away got back in his car, and sped off.
