Step 25

J.T's house📍

I'm going to J.T.'s house to hang out, but I also want to find out more about his mother and see if he is aware of her criminal side business. I hate my situation and what I have to do to his mother, but it's for my son and my family, so I hope one day he will forgive me. I walked up J.T.'s marble steps and rang his doorbell. I could tell he was waiting for me because he smiled and flung open the door.

"Hey baby, come inside," he said, inviting me in.

I was invited into his beautiful home; it looked like a fancy hotel with a giant chandelier and a grand staircase.

"We're going to go upstairs to my room, ok?" J.T. said.

Once we made it to his room, I saw boxes stacked to the ceiling with baby stuff.

"J.T., what is all this?" I asked

"It's for the baby shower. I was going to surprise you with it, but here you are, so surprise."

"Thank you, J, but I don't think the baby shower is happening."

"What? Why not? Did DD do something?"

"No, it's just that we're both really busy right now; there's just no time for it."

"Ok, that's fine. Well, later on this week, I'll just bring all this to your place."

"Sure, that's fine," I replied.

"Darrian I have something to tell you."

"What happened?" I asked

"Remember the scouts that were at the game?" He asked

"Yeah" I said

"Well, some schools have reached out, and I've chosen Washington State, and I have a signing at school. I want you to be there."

"Congratulations babe, yes of course I'll come"

"Thank you um my mom will be there too look I know you and her don't get along but I would really appreciate it if you would just push the hard feelings aside for me"

"Fine you can trust me to play nice with her" I said

"My dad will be there so hopefully she behaves"

"Your dad?" I asked

"Yeah I know I don't really talk to him but some how he knows and he's decided to come"

"Why is he never here? I've never even seen him in person" I questioned

"He's fucking other woman also he's a stock broker so he travels a lot"  J.T. Said

"Wow, stock broker? now I see why your mom was thinking I wanted money from you"

"She's just greedy even with our Allowance she's always wanting more "

"Excuse me, did you say our allowance?"

"Yeah, it's supposed to cover my mom, sister, and I, but she uses it all, so that's why I'm selling pretzels at Auntie Ann's,"

"so how much is that she spends on herself ?" I asked

"Like around 60k she shops a lot, she wants to impress the other neighborhood ladies"

"She never takes you or your sister with her when she shops?" I asked

"No, she's gone for many hours a day I'm glad though I love her but the more she's away the least I have to worry about her"

"I'm sorry you have to go through that J.T" I said

"No it's fine, I'm almost done with school I can spend my summer with you before college and-"

"And what?" I asked

"I guess I haven't really thought of that yet I'm just happy with us right now"

"So do we break up then? I asked

No, Darrian, I just feel like I'm abandoning you and your child when I leave, The whole long distance thing It'll be difficult."

"J.T., I won't be by myself. I'll be alright because I have DD, my mom, and Mercedes with me. You have to look out for yourself, even if it means us taking break for awhile"

"I don't want us taking a break though I feel like we just started and now we falling apart we never had a fare chance"

"Don't worry about that we have till rest of the school year and summer to make our minds up on what we want to do but promise me you'll put your best interests first"

"I don't know Darrian, you mean a lot to me, and I don't want to lose you now that I have you.

"Promise me J.T."

"Okay, Darrian, I promise." J.T. uttered a sigh."
